"I mean no disrespect to the Knicks and Donnie [Walsh], but what kind of trade could they propose?" Kahn asked.

That Minnesota team has the worst balance that I have seen in the entire NBA. they are small and slow upfront--they are skinny and inconsistent on the wing and again--taking a 5-10 PG with two 6-8C??????????? Id rather be the Nets than them. Their composition is as ugly as it gets.

I will say that once we are finished with the FA process next year--I wouldnt mind trading for Sessions. I still feel he would be really really good here--forget the numbers for a second---it's just the look I envision for him with his skills on our team. We have 3 PT shooters--I think he can do a lot of things from the PG position --just as a player that we really miss especially dribble drive. He would average 10 assists here--we missed the boat on that one. You can argue anything you want about Minn but they are horrible and they need massive chance and restructuring.

If I was him I wouldnt kid about not trading Rubio--he's got too many problems to fool around. I would not have gone there. If I was that team I wouldve taken Curry and Hill.

Yeah I hated his draft and didn't understand it at all. Apart from the fact that he messed up the rest of the draft, his team building made no sense, cuz with that many high picks he could've set his team up with better balance and a good talent level. This guy is just a mess IMO.

You think Minny would draft John Wall if he was there?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Is that quote real, Briggs?

Wow, what a sad, train-wreck this guy is. Its obvious this cat has some sort of mental imbalance. We have a nice, young wing player in Chandler that would look great in a Wolves uni. Lee, Hill, wtf is he talking about when he asks what could we propose?

Why is he talking so reckless, with that mess of a roster he's got? In the meantime his best commodity is over in Europe doing anything possible to avoid Minnesota while constantly shytting on Kahn in the process.

I want to slap the taste out this fool Jersey Shore style. He's getting out of line. Comes across like a petulant child.

Thats funny almost. I'm scared of the Wolves roster--the first thing that comes to my mind if purge.
I would be happy with any player--Turner Wall Cousins Whiteside that they will get top 4 and I would try my best to get another high pick. Maybe that is where Rubio can be useful. Minnesota has to rebuild their rebuilding process.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kahn drafted Rubio with the thought that Donnie wanted him and he could trade down and grab a piece. If he liked Flynn so much and then took Hill (Curry and Hill make more sense perhaps), Rubio falls to the Knicks.

Hill, Jefferson, Love make a good Bigs rotation. And you have the option of trading Jefferson once he gets back into shape.

Damn he f'ed up.

Kahn had dinner Monday night with Knicks President Donnie Walsh, who hired Kahn into his first NBA front-office job at Indiana and mentored him there. "I have as much affection and respect for him as anybody in this league," Kahn said.

• Kahn reiterated to New York reporters that he expects draft pick Ricky Rubio -- whom the Knicks sought and who wanted to play in New York City -- to wear a Wolves uniform someday. "I mean no disrespect to the Knicks and Donnie, but what kind of trade could they propose?" Kahn asked.

If they had dinner together, you would think Kahn would have told Donnie to his face. I think that last quote about disrespect is for the media. Sounds to me like an opening gambit. Kahn went from "no way, no how", to "what can they propose". Let's see if Kahn fudges the line a little more in a couple of months.

minny is a mess, created by a carnival barking GM...

If you talk to minny fans on realgm, they are as delusional as ever.. they think they are stacking up trading chips in order to get a star player.. I aksed them, how often do stars get traded? I went and did the research.. take out aging stars like clyde drexler, guys past their prime like shaq, you have about 3 over the past 35 years... barkley was one, but didn't he force his way out of philly? Kareem was another, but again, having to go back that far shows how rare it is...

talk to the wolves fans on realgm. and they pretty much diss wilson chandler.. calling him, average, nothing special.. I had to remind them, that wilson would automatically become their second best player behind Al jefferson... go figure, that whole team, management and fanbase are delusional..

That reminds of a quote Kevin McHale a few years back when a reporter asked him about a trade rumor with the Knicks. I think McHale's response was something to the effect of 'I'm not in the business of garbage removal.' I think it's just insecurity. I'd feel the same way if lived in Minnesota too. That's one thing I really can't be too harsh on Marbury about.

Doesn't that go both ways since they are repeating what is said about him by Knick fans on Realgm as well. That's like going around saying one of my current cars isn't special besides I like my import better and I need to get rid of it quick right in the earshot of the car dealer. Why would Minny want a player that you want to get rid of?

Phar, I dont think many people on this board, myself included, want to get rid of Wilson Chandler. I am not even convinced that we should trade him for Rubio. Would I give him up for other young players? Of course. But this would be a case of giving up something to get something. Not getting rid of Wilson.

Part of Kahn's statements are probably trying to establish leverage. Look, the way I see it, Rubio is never going to play in Minny, and has told them and probably others (our scout) that.

So Kahn is left trying to make the best of a bad situation.

He can't go out and say this because he'll get fired for making the draft pick and he'll end up getting late second round picks offered in return.

That's my point. Speaking from the point of view of Minny, why would I just take Chandler back if you aren't that high on them. Wouldn't I ask for pieces that you are high on? And keep in mind we feel that our piece is still higher than those as well. So Chandler, Gallinari and Hill would be starting points wouldn't they be? Keep in mind no matter what anyone thinks, Minny still has the upper hand. Rubio could float in the Euroleague forever and no harm no foul on the Wolves. I mean Vujanic's and Tito's draft rights are still floating out there somewhere in GM land. It is a league issue that needs to be address.

The T'Wolves trade leverage on Rubio goes down instantly if they win the Draft Lottery.

actually most knicks fans there are pretty high on wilson.. minny fans are not even viewing him as a legit prospect, although chandler is just 22. Heck I even heard the word scrub thrown around..

Phar, this isnt even in the same league as Vujanic. He was picked somewhere in the second round! Rubio is the first round pick of a team that is rebuilding and is in great need of these young players to come in and perform. If Walsh did this, we would start calling for his head and he would never hear the end of it.

And since when do the Minny fans know anything about Wilson Chandler? Chances are that most of them see him twice a year!

Kahn doesnt have any upper hand. He messed up bad and is either delusional or talking delusional to preserve his job, just as Isiah and Scott Layden always did.

Minny and NY have different type of fan bases. The guy just got there after years of crap produce by McHale. The guy values Rubio pretty high and this is just the risk of drafting players from overseas they have options. Rubio isn't going anywhere so why is it a problem for them? It's not like anyone was expecting those guys to compete for a title this season. I mean you guys are acting like they are over the cap and their owner is foaming at the mouth to win right now. I think he is very comfortable with the situation to tell the truth. Why settle on Chandler when he can go into draft night and have all other possibilities.
