He should get it IMO

But, well, we all know how the "he's not on a winning team" bit goes.

I'd still trade him for Al Horford given the two-way game debate....but, Lee does deserve it.

GIVE IT TO HIM

yea i think i dont know, who you rather have lee or horford, it's close only because horford 1.3 bpg lee 0.3 bpg, you know, lee take more shot, but you do per 36 lee have 18/11, hor 14/10 but 1.3 bp g! thats money. so i dont know, and horford is 3 years younger. but as far as all star, you give to lee because, wow, such good seaon is so good, plus OH i almost forgot that:

LEE 3.4 APG AND RISING

his stats are going to be way better offensively b/c he is the team's #1 option...and is involved in every single offensive possession for the knicks. which makes him the defacto franchise player. closest one to a #1 option would be bogut but they don't show the blocks per game. the other guys are 2nd, 3rd and 4th options on their team.

with that said, lee is balling and his game has improved alot. all star? doesn't really matter. to alot of folks here, he's the best player on a bad team. does that make one an all star?

Gimme a break with everything concerning the all star game. The whole voting process is a joke.

Bogut and Lee should make it.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Have a four party vote. Fans, media, players, scouts. Each counnts as 25%. Coaches vote in the reserves.

Not that it is worth discussing because it will never happen. Especially with the NBA falling the way it is, or at least how it strikes me that way.

why the heck do you want scouts voting? i hate scouts, man. they're the most boring people in the nba all they do is scout.

what you gotta do is have the fans vote in 5 players, regardless of position, that's what i call the "Fan Five" and then you let coaches vote in the other 10 players, and you extend the game from 48 to 56 minutes. and then at the end of each quarter you have the "Fan Five Rumble" so that only the Fan Five plays the last 2 minutes of each quarter.

You have to consider this - if David Lee was on Atlanta instead of Al Holford, would they have the same, better or worse record?

I think Lee will make it (his stats are just flat out better) but you can't be upset if Holford makes it instead. Defense and winning do count and Lee is an awful defender and we are 18-26. I think a lot of coaches will find it hard to reward a player who's team lost by 50 points the other day as an All-Star.

Cleveland does have the best record in the Conference. Usually that means at least 2 All-Stars. I can see some coaches voting for Shaq.

I want him to get it... but I also don't... I want him to stick around for a long time and his contract demands will be more and justified if he gets the nod

Why do I keep hearing this??? Its an exhibition game, not a coronation ceremony, let the fans watch who they want to watch. If they want to see T-Mac hobble his ass on the court, so be it.

All-NBA teams, awards, ext...thats where the "experts" can have their input.
