I kind of thought he was nuts to turn down a trade to Memphis. Yes he has his BR but imho--I don't think they matter for him. Memphis is in the 8 seed playing .56 ball with a great starting line up and a 17-5 home record. Yet Nate would rather play sporadically for a team destined to cut him lose in 38 games with 0. Nate can get instant consistent PT on the Grizzlies with their porous bench and have great opportunity to earn more$$$ in the playoffs--hey actually make the playoffs. But does Nate car about winning--well it doesnt look that way--he wants to be babied in NY--where he will not earn a penny more than he could in Memphis. I guess if I was a young player Id rather play on a bigger stage--meaning the playoffs. He has a chance to increase his standing in the league. He's a tough player with tremendous heart and talent but I think that little extra something is missing upstairs--if he needs to be coddled in NY because it's th only place he knows--than maybe these playoff teams shouldnt want him anyway--he's scared to play in the big show.

what are you talking about, fam? The Knicks have been edging around the playoff picture since their 1-9 start, and its not as if Memphis is some powerhouse franchise.
You prepared to say the same about David Lee who wanted nothing to do with Memphis as well?

Scared to play in the big show? Stop making such baseless comments please.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I hope he does--why would he want to stay and play on a team destined to win 30 games instead of playing on what is becoming a very good team? Actually Nate might just be a missing piece for them to really challenge there. Remember that Memphis has the 3rd best record in the entire NBA since the 10th game 23-9 and have three all star caliber players in their frontcourt. It makes no sense not to want to go there.
D Lee is a guy who is in the Knicks plans--whether or not he wanted to go their two years ago has no bearing on today--D Lee is a Knick to stay.

Dude, c'mon now. You're playing fast and loose with facts in order to fit your agenda and narrative.

Fast and loose with the facts, ha ha, that's rich.
Maybe Nate likes it here, did you ever think of that? And I don't know if it's a guarantee that he leaves after the season. Anything can happen from here to there, the Knicks making the playoffs and Nate stepping up, getting us into the second round would cement his place at the Gahden.

At the time the trade was proposed I still don't think the majority of the league had Memphis even penciled in as a lock for the playoffs. Other than this season the franchise has been run a bit disastrously.
Who wouldn't love playing in NY? After Larry and Isiah, MDA isn't so bad. Nate probably knows that the Knicks are on their way up.
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
