i've always liked Mike James... reminds me of Tim Hardaway when James was in his prime... dude was a big shot maker in crunchtime... that said, he's pretty superfluous to what we already have in Nate... he's not really an orchestrator & Nate is much more explosive a scorer at this stage in their careers... other than a trade involving Jeffries i don't see a match for us.

He had a broken finger but he could have played a month ago...he dropped 11pts on 4-11 shooting (2-5 from 3), 1 reb, 2 assists, 3 turnovers, and 2 steals... Eny if you don't preset you fantasy team , don't expect an invite next yr. Your team is good and you haven't played guys for weeks.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Nobody ever listens to me in this forum any more....This guy is rotting in Washington for no good reason, because the guy is a good teamate, and person with a strong charecter. He's a community guy too...He's help the Knicks a great deal and probably would fit in well down the road as a media guy for the Knicks.
Anyway, i hate posting NY Post articles...especially when there isn't even a quote saying that he wants to be a Knick...though I'm quite sure he is aware of the Knicks situation and would be honnored to wear the orange and blue, especially since he is from the NYC area. Mike james isn't even complaining though...you live in Washington D.C...does the media even talk about Mike James??? Mike James just says he wants to play...Larry Hughes has gone as far as disrespecting the coach and his teamates. Mike James is a stand up dude, but he is not at all disrespectful and ignorant.....in comparrisson to Nate. Main difference is Mike James intensity is game related. He never steps outside the game and he understands controlling the tempo of the game...Mike James is a point guard...he's a playmaker like he said in the video I posted. He will take what the defense gives...and he is not afraid to make a ****ing layup like Chris Duhon!!!!
Here's another point i wanna make...Check out this dude's box scores from the 2005/06 season...http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3577/gamelog;_ylt=AtTKGEwSF.IGJziEqBUGK06qPKB4?year=2005 Look at that year....yeah the Raptors didn;t make the playoffs but they didn't have the weapons they picked up after they let Mike james go. He was incredible that season. Great assist and scoring night just about every night. It's shocking that after a performance like that he barely got intrest from other clubs and is currently sitting in the doghouse in Washington.... Nobody can tell me this dude is a trouble maker or like marbury in any way. This dude is respectful dude. I know that for a fact. Not a team cancer...at least he doesn't show it and his teamates always have high praise for him. It's a damn shame...I think he is a victim of the NBA blacklisting him...seen it happen forever. He makes a point about that in the video I posted too...He went to a no name college. He's not supposed to be in the NBA. They don't wanna market a guy like him. Period...there has been countless players like this since the league started. It's ****ing bull****. Subscribe to my Podcast https://youtube.com/c/DiehardknicksPodcast

Larry Hughes said D'antoni's decision to play him was a joke siting he needed the coach to notify him...as far as his teamates, the Knicks were winning when D'antoni stopped calling his number. Hughes stated he was hurt and shouldn't lose his spot cuz of that. True but at the same time the Knicks were on a serious winning binge at the time.....Mike james simply said he had no problem sittin gif they were winning and the staff can't tell him he can't help. He didn't say it in a disrespecful way like Hughes. He did say "I want to get outta here"...there is a difference that I can respect in Mike James case. The way Hughes came out was totally wrong especially since he wasn't consistantly doing the job. Mike James isn't even being given a chance to play...that is why I'm so outraged...but I know what the deal is. Knicks need to throw this guy a bone...his contract is an ending one.
Worst case scenerio would be for Mike James to get bought out...He wants to play so I dunno if he's call the Knicks with their hard-on for Duhon...Knicks have to take that initiative and say ok look...Duhon is not doing the job, lets give Mike James a shot for the rest of the season. Mike James is not going to fail the knicks...that is a given. Subscribe to my Podcast https://youtube.com/c/DiehardknicksPodcast

Hughes stated he was hurt and shouldn't lose his spot cuz of that. True but at the same time the Knicks were on a serious winning binge at the time.. actually Hughes said his 8 minute stint that night when MDA put him into a game after several DNP-CD's was a joke, he didn't call it a joke because MDA didn't notify him that he was playing that night... he said he would appreciate some communication because there wasn't any... using the word "joke" to describe his 8 minutes that night was probably a mistake, but u can understand the guy's frustration... how can he possibly earn his way back into the rotation if he's only given such a sporadic run? it's not like he's a rookie who expects to see limited play... Hughes is a guy who is used to having a major role on teams he plays on... when he sees such limited play like in CHI & NY, he gets restless & wants a bigger role... he has yet to request a trade as far as i'm aware, he's said he wants to stay here he just wants to see playing time... i see nothing wrong w/that... it's true that he was playing like crap before he got benched, but he was also coming back from an injury, it's to be expected that he'd need some minutes to get back into the flow of the offense... MDA pulled the plug on Hughes cuz he panicked thinking the Knicks were falling out of some imaginary playoff run this season at the time... if i were Hughes i'd be pissed too watching scrubs like Jonathan Bender who were coming off 4 years of inactivity seeing minutes ahead of me. & i don't see how Hughes disrespected his teammates in any way complaining about the lack of communication when he got his first DNP... he seems to be get along fine w/his teammates & he's always smiling when the team is doing well & they shoot to the bench, unlike Marbury who looked completely disinterested in any of his teammates when MDA banished him to the bench. i totally feel u on everything with Mike James... i think he would be an upgrade over Duhon too because he provides a scoring threat, something Duhon does not, & he makes big shots in crunchtime... he can be a floor general not just a wild chucker like Nate can be at times... but we all know that MDA would never play him over Duhon, so basically unless he's coming to fill Nate's role, i don't see a role for him on this team. From RealGM (Jan 31, 2010 10:35 AM EST): Wizards guard Mike James told the New York Post on Saturday that he wants to play for the Knicks. There ya go. He is pushing for a lateral trade, too. But I agree that we would need to include JJ in the deal, unless MDA would be willing to start Mike James over Duhon. Wish that could happen. |
