If we get Lebron we really dont need a point guard because Lebron will be dominating the ball. You then go trade Wilson for a defensive minded center and put Lee at the PF. Try and sign another spot up shooter to go with Gallo and then this team will be ready to compete in the eastern conference.

fair, and might be true. but the thought of ill wilson, gallo, lee, and lebron is scary! if there is some way to keep this intact, i would be all for it. then again, lee, lebron, gallo, and someone awesome we get for ill wilson, might be very good.

still, my preference is to keep wilson. he is a stud.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I think Hill can be in the rotation with Lee and another player. We need a guy who can block shots and rebound and is a vet. Wilson is starting to grow on me but we need a big man bad.

king1 --come on my man--I agree with you on a lot--but Chandler is a star 2 guard in the making at 6-8. If we get Lebron put him in Jefferies slot--remember Jefferies gives us 4 and 4 in 35 minutes--ANY player who shoots +45% and give 20++ 6+ rebounds would make the Knicks go from 17-25 to 30-12. I really love WC--no way no way no way would I trade him. The only fair trade we couldve had for him was pick 5 and Steph Curry as our new PG

I just think Wilson trade value is a all time high and we can get something for him that could really help this team. If not you choice will be pay Wilson in 2011 or try to go for a max player.

Wilson finally listened about not shooting 3-point shots and concentrate on mid-range and getting to the rim.

king 1 the kid is 22! trade value---he's developing into an all star. He's a guy who hits the mid range and can also get to the basket with his strength and finish. I think LA was shocked at just how good WC was last night. he abused them. We ran out of gas because they have to many good players with to much size. Duhon absolutely killed us--please lets do something give Douglas a chance over Hughes at the least--I know Duhon understands the offense and is a pure 1 and Douglas is not but why not give him a chance like they did with Hill---he shooting 35% killing us. It took perfect play just to stay even. He's a huge thorn to the Knicks right now. try to get better from within first.

Totally agree with Briggs here. No way am I trading Wilson Chandler. Chandler has shown constant improvement in his game each year and the fact that he's stopped jacking up 3's and has stepped into the mid range game shows that he is teachable and he listens. He also perhaps our best two-way player at that. He has the potential to be an allstar very soon.

say what?

Barely 22 years old and driving the ball inside against the world champion Lakers with graceful ball handling, creative instincts and superb finishing ability?

are you kidding me?

Trade The Mayor and you regret his All Star status for years to come

You gotta get off that regretting bull****...the Knicks have to assemble a team not hold on to players because they don't want them to become an all-star somewhere else...

I'm with King....it doesn't have to be a center cuz D'antoni is not gonna tolerate a defensive center if they can't move the ball, pass and shoot. Camby and Noah come to mind...Camby is actually a fits the free agent/vet mold King talked about. Camby also knows what it means to play in NYC/MSG.

BTW, Lebron is a natural small fwd...are the Knicks looking to play Lebron at shooting guard? point guard? if the Knicks slide Lee back to power fwd and sign say camby...Gallo is the starting 3....only 2 positions left...I don't like Lebron at the Guard position.

I would be upset if we have to trade Chandler, because I like keeping guys who came to you from the start of their careers, especially those who are evolving into excellent players.

I don't think he needs to be used to get a center, because I think that Hill is the center of the future for this team.

Hill is going to be an effective center in this league. He looked good guarding Gasol, and with his outside shooting ability, he will cause headaches for slower centers who are afraid to stray too far from the paint to guard someone. He also seems to be a ball hawk in terms of rebounding.

He still has to add some muscle, but it is obvious to me that his frame can hold another 10-15 (20?) pounds with little negative effects. With the added muscle and the increase in explosiveness, Hill will be an excellent center IMO.

Except for his rebounding, Lee is almost playing like a SF these days, and is becoming a scoring machine with his midrange J, but he is a liability down low, and causes us to have to play the zone D which killed us yesterday. I want to keep Lee with the Knicks, but there has to be a way to cover up for our weakness in the paint, which he is partly responsible for.

Warriors general manager Larry Riley expects the club to be busy over the next month or so as the NBA's trade deadline approaches.

"Is a little something good enough? I can tell you right now: No it isn't," Riley said. "We're not looking to do something minor.

"It might take trading somebody that we would rather not trade, but we need another player of substance."

Riley told the San Francisco Chroncile that Golden State needs to add another player at the level of stars Monta Ellis and Corey Maggette.

The Warriors have suited up nine or fewer players 15 times this season due to injuries.

"I would have liked to have had the opportunity to really evaluate these guys together, but I don't feel like we have to rush into anything," Riley said. "I think it's extremely important to explore every option that could improve this team.

"I think rather than doing something that might be a knee-jerk reaction in hopes of winning a few more games this season, we need to react to things that will set us up for where we want to go in the future."

Trade Gallanari for Turiaf and Randolph from G.State

Randolph and shotblocking center in Turiaf, Lee and Chandler and you have a team ready for Lebron.

PG Augustine
SG Chandler
SF Lebron
PF Randolph
C Lee

Turiaf 6th man 1st off the bench This team would be the best two-way team NY has had in a long time.

The team will have some options at the trade deadline, and Riley said he "fully anticipates a trade" at the deadline or in the offseason.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Trader Joe's

Certainly, proposing various and random trade scenarios is an entertaining way to pass the time but for the life of me I don't understand the eagerness to rid the Knicks of one of its most valuable assets. Wilson Chandler is still learning the NBA game and growing right before our disbelievin eyes. Any concern over his consistency is only a precursor to his becoming an all star. With an average of 15 and 7, despite his sluggish start, the next incremental step puts The Mayor on the doorstep of a very respectable 19 and 8.

Walsh has been patient for a reason. His strategy is to HOLD his best assets unless a deal comes along to blow him away. He keeps the core yoots - Lee, Gallo and Chandler, no matter how many rumors are being tossed in the mill on a given day.

The recipe, without much needless tinkering or too many chefs, looks something like this

Lead guard to be named later
The Mayor
Lee
Gallo
Hill

Landry
Bender
Jeffries

add one well-paid free agent and stir briskly, bring to a boil
