Stoudemire may be available for right price
"I was skeptical last week when I did my trade story. But since then I've had several signals come out of Phoenix that Amare is available for the right price. I think the Suns are really concerned that he wants to leave for a bigger market. I would've said last week there was a 10 percent chance he gets traded. I'd up it to 40 to 50 percent now based on what I'm beginning to hear."

"As for Bosh, I think the Raptors will get clarity soon. The plan is to sit down with Bosh and his agent to try to get a good feel. If Bosh is coy, or unable to commit, I think the Raptors have to take that as a message that he is gone and get what they can in return. If he sends a strong signal that he wants to re-sign, then I think the Raptors hold onto him. If I was a betting man, I think Bosh is wearing a different uniform next year."

Seems GM's aren't willing to lose their star players for nothing. This is really screwing us up.

which is why i keep saying JC and zach were perfect trading chips..It probably going to like that with most of the FA, except LBJ and Wade

Does the title refer to the constant crap we have to read about 2010, and claiming that this will soon fade, or is it a typo for 'pool'?

It is a typo. I cannot edit the title.

even if these guys are traded now, they'll still be unrestricted FAs in the summer. a trade at the deadline is no guarantee they re-sign with the team that acquires them.

and the real target - Lebron - isn't going anywhere before July 1.

If a team trades for Amare, can they then sign him to a longer term deal before his contract expires? Just trying to understand how stuff works, no man crush pm Amare here.

if i were TOR i'd offer up Bosh to MIA for Beasley, Haslem, MIA's 1st round pick & salary filler... value wise i think that's a pretty fair deal & it's much better than losing him for nothing... MIA stands a great shot at re-signing Bosh so it's a deal i think they'd be more than happy to make, plus they make a run this year at a title.

If by the FA pool you are referring to Bosh, then I'd say it might. I think Bosh will be traded since it's almost certain he will leave Toronto this summer. THat trade with Miami looks pretty good for both teams, in particular since Miami is a likely landing spot for Bosh next year anyway. Wade + Bosh is MUCH more likely than Lebron + Wade (which I see as almost definitely not going to happen, for reasons many have already mentioned).

As long as Lebron is available still I am not concerned. He is the only max FA we should be targeting next summer. If we miss on him, we should wait for the following summer.

Haha you're drying poo? that sucks man! i hope you succeed.

yea the pool is dry because historically the majority of FAs resign. if i had to guess, i'd say about 64.8%. bosh, maybe knicks can trade for him but i doubt it. you know, another option is a sign and trade by toronto to someone good.

They can sign him to a 6th yr deal with 10.5% raises while another team can only sign him for 5 yrs with 8% raises. For guys with suspect knees or a history of injury that 6th yr might be the difference maker.

If guys like Boozer, Bosh, and Amare are traded then Lee's value on the open market is going to go up too.

One of the things about having roster flexibility is the situation we're in now. If we want to secure some of these players, we have the expiring contracts/trading chips to do so for the right guy.

Not really. The only guy we can realistically trade for is Amare and even that is unlikely based on the way D'Antoni left the Suns. Utah isnt helping us by giving us Boozer and Toronto isnt trading Bosh to a division rival.

absolutely, what you do is instead of flushing and using toilets, wasting water, you go outside in a sunny spot and when it dries, you simply mix it with dirt and plant flowers in your yard

Dunno what you are looking at but Des is right on the mark. Even if we don't sign any of the top 2010 FA's we'll be able to pick up some other guys via trade for absolutely nothing.

Teams that are bleeding money would be very interested in this type of deal.
