What Knicks gonna do with the $money ? Ever think of that ?
It is a reality.

What we gonna do ?
Have this gut feeling those big 3 will be elsewhere despite improving Knicks squad.

What's next for Fall 2010 for our Knick heros ?
Thanks Isiah ! (for nothing)

I think the Knicks get LBJ, Amare or no one. I don't see Wade leaving and I do not think Bosh is in the same class or much of an upgrade over Lee. I don't think Walsh goes after Johnson if he has autonomy so the Knicks may just save the cap space and have lots of options. Having cap space opens up lots of doors. I would rather the Knicks keep the cap space and flexibility if they can't get LBJ, Wade or Amare. Cap space opens lots of options and I think the Knicks would be better off keeping the space and flexibility than chasing a guy like Joe Johnson or Rudy Gay.

I don't know. Lee was thoroughly outclassed by Bosh tonight; I don't care what the box says. You really saw why one guy is a max player and the other isn't and you can't always quantify that.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

I only watched parts of the second half but I saw something different from you. Lee was very active and seemed to bring alot of intangibles. It was a case of catching things when the game was on because the channel was being changed alot but the guy that impressed me when I watched was Bargnani. I thought Calderon appeared to be back from his injury also. If the Knicks give up Lee, Nate, Craw, and Zach to get Bosh I will be very disappointed.

Bosh was sitting out much of the 2nd quarter cuz the Raps were running all over the Knicks & could afford to have him rest for the 2nd half... u can't judge these 2 guys based on 1 game... look at & compare their season stat totals.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Then we go Joe Johnson and Amare.
If that doesn't work we throw the bank at cp3 and melo in 2010.
The team is competitive with the other lower tiered teams.
Boozer, etc.

We have options.

Hopefully they don't panic and just sign anybody.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Tough luck then. Still better to be in the market for a max FA, at least there is hope that way.

Besides, we have all our picks after this year.

After next season we are actually back to a real team as opposed to an Isiah cluster fck.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I watched pretty much the entire game. Lee came to play and it seemed like he saw this as his opportunity to show he was in the same class as Bosh. To Bosh, it seemed like it was just another game. That being said, Bosh is a better player than Lee in terms of defense and presence on the court. The dude demands double-teams, is more of a factor on defense, and has about 2 inches and 15 lbs on Lee in terms of size. I have no doubt that if Bosh was playing in this offense, he would aveage 25 pts and 11 rbs easy and shoot at a similar FG% as Lee. Bosh is the better player. Whether he is $6 mill dollars per year better is the real question. We can resign Lee for $10-11 mill, but it will take $16.7 mil to sign Bosh. If we get Lebron, I would sign Bosh and then fill out the roster with MLE players. It is better to have the best starting 5 you can assemble. You can always find role players to fill in the gaps.

Additionally, I think Hill's game and movements remind me a little of Bosh. I cannot wait to see what Hill looks like after a summer of work and 10 extra lbs of muscle.

Trust the Process

Knicks will also have a lot of cap space for 2011 in that case. Knicks are on the right track. They finally have a younger and more flexibile roster on the horizon. Hopefully what they can do is trade Al Harrington, Nate Robinson etc. to get some picks back without adding salary.

I don't understand? I don't think it's possible without trading one of these two. Is that what everyone is implying? That we will have the ability to sign two max free agents?
Most of the threads have ondicated one or both must go AND lee resigning would be a risk.

That also means all other free agents are gone (al, Nate, duhon, Hughes, etc)

not sure what makes that question fair weather.

Please help me understand how that sentence indicates fair weather fan?

Thanks in advance Martin.

mostly cause it's been discussed ad nauseum, both here and in the media. Cap is gonna be near $54M. This is the cap numbers for our players for next year: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm. You outright need $30+M to sign 2 guys for $15M each, plus fill out the roster.
