All - Andrew and I have been kicking around the idea of an online "game" which would let users show their knowledge of how the Knicks are going to compete on a day to day basis. The idea is a simple one: you make a prediction if the Knicks will win or not and by how much. Points are accumulated if you choose correctly. A list of our top predictors will be displayed prominently (and if you are on said list, "talking of the trash" will be encouraged).

We are looking for some feedback. Do you think it's a good idea? How should the points be accumulated/calculated? Are we missing anything? Please let us know. Here is a link to the game picker preview page (it does not work, nor is it in any way complete or completely filled out, it is there just to give you a visual).

Yeah, we should have been beta'ing this in preseason, but we missed it. The season starts soon and that means we have to have most of the ideas hashed out before the end of this weekend. Let us know.

Yup, count me in as well. Although I'll probably be too stubborn to let the Knicks loose a game but alas so be it.

Martin and Andrew, this is an excellent idea. The preview looks great. As for the scoring system, what about 10 pts for a correct W/L prediction, and 5 pts for a correct margin of vicotory/loss prediction, or something like that?

Further ideas? Well, maybe we could predict the high-scorer too, and even the high-rebounder and and high-assistman. I don't know, this could make it over-complicated...

What do you guys think of bonus points awarded for a certian number of consecutive correct win/loss picks?

Okay - i'd say the ability to choose high scorer/high rebounder/high assist man per game would be cool also

also if you could put next to our name in the chat room/msg board per post what our number of points were for the week/month/season, that'd be cool too.

Streaks would be cool too, like an extra bonus point if the person is on a streak of correct predictions over like 3 games in a row, kinda like "he's on fire!"

that's about it for now. ;-)

Looking good guys 8D I'm not sure about having all those stat pickers though, might make it a lil too complicated for a simple picker game. Also, not sure about the bonus points since I'm sure the consecutive win streak would be recognition in itself. Then for the ppl with consecutive losses, that's like kicking them when they're already down :P But if you guys all like it then I'm all for it, keep up the great work! :)

for some reason, my PT-NY Game where I had NY loosing by 1-5 pts is not, was not in the system!

hey guys, thanks for fixing the game differential from Wednesday's GamePicker for NY-NJ game. Although the differential seems fixed, the points for the top ten dogs seems unchanged. Can you let me know what's going on with that?

i love gamepicker, but i have a suggestion. i've just recruited 5 friends to join in. we were wondering if there would be a way to set up a group that would track friends' standings - sort of like a mini-league between friends.
