Isiah is making a big move in rebuilding the Knicks salary cap mess by working out a buyout. Houston, VanHorn, Eisley, and Anderson are responsible for the rest of the mess.
Trading these players may be tough but a potential deal can be made with Phoenix involving Shandon Anderson (3 years left) and Howard Eisley (2 years + team option) Michael Doleac (1 year) for Anfernee Hardaway (2 years) fills need for backup SG and if Ward is gone too then back PG. Jake Voskuhl (2 years but buyout clause) replace Doleac.
This will at least give the Knicks a some help in rebuilding cap without sacrificing the core players on the team.
If the Knicks can trade Sweetney and a draft pick (giving up Milos would be too much) for Caron Butler then he could take Shandon Anderson's place.
