Isiah is making a big move in rebuilding the Knicks salary cap mess by working out a buyout. Houston, VanHorn, Eisley, and Anderson are
responsible for the rest of the mess.

Trading these players may be tough but a potential deal can be made with Phoenix involving Shandon Anderson (3 years left) and Howard Eisley (2 years + team option) Michael Doleac (1 year)
for
Anfernee Hardaway (2 years) fills need for backup SG and if Ward is gone too then back PG.
Jake Voskuhl (2 years but buyout clause) replace Doleac.

This will at least give the Knicks a some help in rebuilding cap without sacrificing the core players on the team.

If the Knicks can trade Sweetney and a draft pick (giving up Milos would be too much) for Caron Butler then he could take Shandon Anderson's place.

it all sounds believable until i got to sweetney/butler. why would the heat be that ignorant? i know they have a glut at 2 guard, but what would lead them to believe sweetney's worth it?

agreed on the shandon/eisley part. but to trade caron for sweetney? i don't know. it's not his fault he's coming off i believe shoulder surgery. whatever...their loss, our gain. back up ah & spark off the bench. where do i sign?

That is why I mentioned including a draft pick or maybe Milos in the trade for Butler. Miami would be foolish to trade Caron straight up for Sweetney, because Sweetney has shown nothing. The heat could make a deal with the Bulls involving Marcus Fizer who is a better player than Sweetney, right now.
The important part of his post is finding a way to move Eisely & Anderson.
