i told you it was nuts. dont think he will get caught any time soon though as the writers are clever w giving him outs every time he is close to being suspected (i.e.: the body in the car crash early on in the season, etc). plus, i believe there are still 2 or 3 books planned by random house in the near future....so no ending in site soon especially since the ratings are so high, which showtime has suffered in recent years.
as for next year, i think that deb will find out who he really is and that will be a major story plot...deb will piece it together through investigating how rita was killed and relating it back to dexter's beginnings and see the parrallel. the rest of the dept doesnt know dexter's past so he wont be targeted as a suspect. real question is then will deb keep the cover-up for dex or will she be the one to bring him to justice? i could go either way on that one but would probably pick the former if pressed).
as for the kids, i think dex will try to be a single parent for a little while but fail. he will also be conflicted w his son growing up like him, so maybe he will give up the son (maybe adoption or something) so that he doesnt grow up to be like daddy (i.e.: im guessing here based on how dexter was adopted and making a leap to history repeating itself w his son)...
