That is really the issue and why most teams don't play zone defense alot. Unless you have 2-3 Lee-type players on your squad, you are going to lose alot of rebounds playing zone.
I want to disagree. Our rebound differential actual started to improve when we started to play zone.
I remember looking at our differential early in the year when we had won like 2 games, and I'm pretty sure it was -9 or thereabouts.
We're up to -5, and I'm pretty sure that has happened when we have been playing more zone.
We get killed on the boards because we launch so many 3's with 5 guys sitting at the 3pt line, and Mike likes to play a midget line up and our guys get 1. pushed around & 2. jumped over for rebounds.
