Couple of weeks ago I decided to watch the post game show on MSG after the game and was absolutely lost when i saw Malik Rose in the damn studio. Not only did that not make any sense to me( since his tenure with the knicks has been in it's most embarrassing era)he sounded completely terrible, i mean really bad, and clue less.

Why cant the knicks Organization ever get it right when it comes to utilizing there X players appropriately.

Because cablevision sucks, it's all bootleg. At least they have Al Trautwig.

You got to be kidding me...... Al ask him a question regarding eddies health cause he knew he talks to eddie and they are friends, i cant remeber exactly what he said word for word, but you can probably compare it to someone shaking there shoulders and saying "i don't know i guess he's gonna be ok".

I mean he didn't say one single thing that the most average fan would not have notice on there own. Starks, Allan houston, they all suck, what happen to guys like Mark jack, Larry Johnson, greg Anthony.

Some of these players that are on espn, and NBA TV sound really bad, with the exception of Webber, and Eric Snow, I think they all suck too

i agree Malik sucks as a commentator... so does Starks... i would like to see them bring Mark Jackson or Greg Anthony in.

i think C-Webb sucks too & so does Gary Payton.

Why some people think they are good at commenting, coaching, GMing, etc. if they were good players?
So if I was good auto-mechanic I will be great GM for Ford or great sales person for Honda?

You don't like CWebb? He's a bit of a joker, but I don't think he's bad. Payton, I def. agree with you on. His voice alone is annoying as hell.

i don't think C Webb makes many intelligent points... Jax & Greg Anthony can both break down a play like a coach would... i'm sure having been PG's themselves it helps... both are well spoken & have a professional tone when they speak... i think D Lee will make an excellent commentator someday too, his postgame comments are always the best breakdown of a game i hear out of any player.

I think jax and anthony are beyond being studio guys for MSG, they would need to have Clyde's job to work for MSG. No one else would hire Malik.

I agree with you guys and i also agree with CrushAlot, Jackson and Anthony would be much better, but would command much more money because MSG is a step down in cache from ABC/ESPN and NBATV.

Losing or winning on bbal court has nothing to do with ability to do any other job.
You can be the worst player in the word but became great commenter or even GM.

Yeah david Lee sounds awsome, I think webber is actually pretty good, payton just remineds me of someone in a barber shop voicing his/her opinion, thats why they had him on tuesdays Fan Night

I think its a combination of success(in what they did), adrenalin and sheer stupidity that leads them to believ they can poull of commentating on TV etc.
