This roster has only dropped Slavco Vranes and put spoon on the IR and Isiah BELIEVES this roster is good enough to challenge the east as is. I'm not saying he's not gonna make a few minor changes, even though his money players have been just that since he became the knicks GM. Frank was even compared to Clyde Frazier(depceptively quick) by ZEKE. This is the roster that Layden baked and Isiah will put the icing on the cake with a new found urgency to perform to their potential or get bounced out of town. Only a GM has the power to do that.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

IMO, Isiah will do everything in his power to bake a new cake. Layden's cake is not baked well and you have to go back a few steps to fix it. The icing will come after he has baked a good cake.

In others words, I think he will look hard to dump salary and one of the 3 main players (H2O, Dice and KVH) will be gone when all is said and done. I think its going to be KVH cause H2O's contract is too big and Dice's contract is up and will just come off the books.

If this team keeps playing consistently and Frank starts at pt guard I don't think KVH will be traded, dyess might get let go at the end of the yr or ward becauz of his contract kicking in in january, but that's it as for the top three.

I dont think this team will play consistently as long as Chaney is our Head Coach. Isiah lit a fire under them and they did well for the 2 game but I want to see a .500 before I can start to believe this team is going anywhre. That or a new Head Coach!

But thats never going to happen. Spoon, the greatest FOrward in teh NBA is gone and Eisley, the most consistent of the Top 3 PG's in the NBA is a backup! The Knicks are doomed!.

I think Frank Williams and Isiah Thomas are the two reasons why the knicks will excel this season.

With all the off-the-wall stuff you post sometimes, I sometimes forget that you can be on point regarding some things. That last post is a prime example. I am in full agreement.

Question: what do you think the next roster move will be, and why?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Next roster move will be Lampe for sweetney. Isiah doesn't mind playing young guys with upside. I for one don't believe in Lampe this yr, maybe 2005 -2006.

I always hope, but I don't know if I can believe just yet. I want to see them sweep through the lower level teams that are upcoming on the schedule. If they can get a 5-7 game winning streak together in the coming weeks that's cause for celebration, because it would mean this team has finally learned how to win games on a consistent basis, which is something we havent really had under Chaney. I have always been a fan of Frank Williams since he's been at Illinois. I get ragged on because I compared him to Gary Payton when he came out of college, but honestly the guy does have quick hand and can penetrate and is really a floor leader. Lets see if his jumper ever comes around like Payton's. Its nice to see Van Horn and Houston play well and be healthy for a stretch too.

Just a thought--- regarding the NY Post article saying that FW is the best penetrating guard since... Clyde...

What happened to guys like the early Mark Jackson... or Rod Strickland... or John Starks?

just because we may be able to compete in the tail end of the playoffs, won't account for much if we can't press on into bigger & better things. as our TRUE savior said, anything less than a championship is failure. were much more confident now, you can see it. but we lack. lack a whole lot. who are the top 3 or even 4 teams in the west? now ask yourself, do we actually have chance?

rod had no & still has no outside shot, starks lacked the ball handling skills & mostly played the 2 guard, & mark although nice in his respetive game posesed little speed if any. of those 3 guys only mark had the court awareness & passing ability that f-will has. now i don't know about comparisons to clyde, but the press is always eager to make waves. even if there only ripples.
