That might be the worst thing I have ever seen in sports history---your team is ranked third 11-0 going into the Sugar Bowl and not only do you quit to go to another team but wont coach the last game? What a traitor and what lack of character. This is just as bad as betting on your own team to lose or whatever--this is Benedict Arnold at it's finest. Wow what a slap in the face. I hope Notre Dame stays in the garbage.

IF your third you in the current system you can't go any higher than third. If it were for a national championship then I totally agree with you.

Notre Dame kept hiring coaches not in the college ranks and finally have one that understands the college game.

I think from a fans perspective I can understand the anger but this is a business. Kelly got Cincy no. 3 in the country and if your a college coach, and if Kelly has any Notre Dame ties then this is his dream situation and you have to move on. He has to recruit NOW, not wait a month. It would be better for him to finish the season but it don't work like that.

Can any coach be allowed to stay is he was moving to another school?

He can't win a championship, so its not such a big deal.

I saw on Sportscenter that one of the Cincy players blasted on Kelly saying the players are the reason for the success, not the coach. Good stuff.

Cincy and TCU are just another example of the joke that is the BCS.

feel bad for the players on the Cincy team... after having been recruited by this guy & being sold on the school & on his integrity & all that garbage, he goes & does this to them before the most important game of their lives... how can u live with yourself as a human being for selling out your kids like that?

Yeahm I heard it on the radio. That player just went off. I would be pissed to, but the classy thing is to say, "I wish coach the best, and we still are going to go out and try to put ourselves in the best position to try and win a national champsionship."

College sports is so corrupt. Players should be able to tranfer without sitting out a year if there coach leaves.

Completely agree. Its a travesty that a coach can sign with another school right before the biggest game most of these kids will ever play in their lives. Sucks.

just heard Cowherd say this is the same coach that quit on his Central Michigan team in much the same fashion when he took the Cincy job to begin with... must be his M.O.
