"The Knicks were informed last week they are tentatively headed to Paris and Milan in October to play two or three preseason games, according to a league official."

MAKE IT HAPPEN !!! There can't be a better year for such a plan... I'd have been devastated if the Knicks would have come to Paris with their current or past rosters...

I'll be there anyway, and will go for the most expensive seat stil lavailable. Come on, LeBron could play start his Knicks career in PARIS !!!

I like "Mr FrenchKnicks"

But anyhow, I've been waiting so long for 2010 that I'm really curious to see what team will dress at the start of next season. It's just awesome for me to maybe get a chance to see what I hope will be the start of a new era of Knicks basketball.

Mr. French, so you know I am not talking crazy when I say I stop following Knicks if they sign Lebron.

To me, sports is more than just having a big name superstar on your team. The guy is a baby, he's a dramatic actor, and he has no class at all. I would rather watch a team with good character guys play hard every night and not win a championship then I would watch Lebron dance like an idiot and make an ass out of himself. It's not worth it. And that's assuming that Lebron can win a championship at all, because he is a piece of crud showboatsman.

Look, I'm just saying that, to me, and an avid Knicks fan I am, signing Lebron would really suck. I really couldn't put up with his antics for 6 years here. Every game, every day, throwing dust in the air, dancing, everything would be about him, it will get very tiring very quickly. It's not worth it. And with a stage like the Garden, this guy's head will swell to unprecedented proportions.

I'm not sorry, I don't watch basketball to fawn over a lone 'star' that the media tells me I have to worship. I watch it because it is a team game where I appreciate the little things much more than I ever could appreciate a prima donna media whore who brings none of the character, none of the virtue, none of the values that competeative sports were based on, the values that I hold sacred.

Anyone that doesn't shake hands after a loss is not a man, but a baby, and that's an insult to babies because in their innocence they are more virtuous than Lebron. Just postin'. I can't be the only one that feels this way.

Give me Gallo and a few lesser stars, give me a good team that competes, that is in the running, and I take that any day.

Hnestly, at this point, I don't care. I just want to see a team that can have a winning record and compete for a championship, one way or an other.

you know nothing about Lebron, what kind of teammate he is or what kind of person he is. You judge his character by one interview and the fact that he tosses chalk in the air? Good job.

Come on. Enough is obvious, fishmike. Not shaking the hand after a loss? Dancing during a blow out win against the Bulls? That whole flirtation with the media about New York, 2 years before his contract is even up? Who did they ask recently, they asked "what of 2010", and the star said "talk about it when it comes".

Enough can be inferred about his character, and what is inferred is that he not a good person. Due to his basketball talents, his teammates keep their mouth shut and keep moving. I don't remember teammates complaining about Iverson in his prime, either.

We have a great core and a very bright future without Lebron. Gallo, add maybe even a Bosh, I don't know, anyone but Lebron.

I don't remember Ewing or Oakley being obnoxious pricks.

You know how they say..."to test character of man, give him power". Well he has, in terms of basketball, ultimate power. And look at how he chooses to apply it. Give break to me, mr. fishmike.

Lebron took one loss very hard and walked off, and later apologized for it. Give me a break. As for Ewing and Oakley not being obnoxious? Your right.. you dont remember. Oakley used to talk smack all the time and was quiet the dirty player. Bosh is a loser and complains about how good all the other teams are and how the other stars have better talent around them. Thats who you want?

All talk that LeBron is a man by himself who is not affected of star-mania around him is bull.
He is celeb... And in US this is not a profession but more of a disease.
It's like the pure disabled friks shown to the crowed on the fairs in Middle Ages for money because they have extra fingers or no nose.
This is what defined him as a person. At least affected him in very big way.
He is yet to show that he can be real man - no rings, no signs of integrity, nothing that comes from him as a personality, not from the crazy tabloid-driven world.
Look at him and at big NBA starts of the past or not so distant past. He is not even close; even with all his supernatural bbal skills.
But nothing is lost yet. This summer he has a chance to make his own move, to take a challenge and go with it. I wish him luck.
Money and fame are good, but to became a legend Lebron has a long ways to go.

Both Ewing and Oakley were stand up guys. So is Lebron. If your competitive and play sports long enough these things will happen. I am as calm as they come, and NEVER call out a teammate but I have had my meltdowns. Its human. Thats not a defining moment in his career, not even close. Lebron enjoys what he does and doesnt pretend to not. He works hard to improve his game and is about winning. Relax young man

Yep. You are right.
He is just a man. And nothing special as a man yet.
Like a BBAL player he is a supper. What else about him?

I like how you tied together the sentiments in this post. I guess that Lebron coming here would not be such a bad thing if viewed as an opportunity for the guy to grow and prove himself. You're right, Kobe changed too as he got older, as we all do. Bring Lebron and let's hope he can mature into the type of stand-up guy that is deserving of his status in the league.

I will let you slide on the 'young man', fishmike, not because I am young but because I am a good guy. And LeBron IS NOT a stand-up guy right now, fish, not by a long shot, that is not up for debate.

Blah blah blah! The second Lebron puts on. Knick Uni all will be forgiven cuz we've never had a player like him! A guy who can be one of the all time greats and help us win that elusive title! I could care less about his perceived personality! I want to WIN! I was 8 yrs old when we won our last title! I want to taste victory and erase the pain of game 7 Houston! If Lebron helps us get there I'm all for it!
