No matter what has been said about what he is and what he isnt--the guy goes out and gives a very efficient consistent effective game every time out. If we had 5 guys like Lee--we would win 60 games.

I really disagree. If we had 5 Lee's we'd give up 200 ppg game.

Anyone can run pick and rolls if they practice it that much. That's all he does. How about show some effort on defense?

Well I dont think people equate two things--rebounding is a big part of defense and he is often 3-6 inches smaller than his match up.

he's usually 3-6 inches taller than the guy who he lets walk to the basket for an easy layup on just about every possession as well... defense isn't just about checking the guy you're guarding.

dude, i have posted plenty of D Lee praise since he's been a Knick... i call it like i see it... doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he's a crappy ass defender.

Why to ask the guy to be something he will never be?
Let him be who he is.
If we will have defensive minded center and guards who can stay with their man, Lee will be golden.
But we dont have it - so he is silvery.
Everybody should be heappy that he is not sheety...

D Lee is a bit like Kurt Thomas. Very good at what he does, but by far not the complete package.

Who said he is? And why he should be?
He is not a lottary pick, he is not a max player, he is not even payed the medium salary for starting PF.
He is perfect for MDA type team and top-end role player.
we have a lot of problems but Lee is not the problem at all.

love DLee on the boards and in the pick-n-roll. Great freakin hands in traffic. Brutish work all season in these areas.

Wish he took some time with JJ to learn help defense. He needs it. Can't understand how a guy who gets off the ground and is quick enough to go after rebounds can't move feet and/or know how to anticipate how to help. Just don't. Sometimes it's like he's got cement feet when an offensive player who is not his man goes into the lane when Lee is in the vicinity.

A shot blocker he is not. If he gave more effort he would be in foul trouble and if he is not playing he is not rebounding or scoring points.

Dlee is undersized and should not be playing center. Get that Fat Phuch off the bench and see if he can play a few games this season!

Lee and his agent did this off season when they insisted on $12mm per and did not sign the deal Walsh initially, I thought offered- the 4 years, $32mm.

The problem we have with Lee is the same we had with KT - they're playing out of position, and being asked to start.

LOL. In Lee's defense, he has started playing slightly better defense. I now would equate his defense with Travis Knight, so I may have to change my sig.

the problem is he wants to stay out of foul trouble & doesn't exert the effort he should on D... we see his tenacity on the boards & when he runs the floor, cuts to the lane & finishes at the rim... all u need is that type of energy & hustle to play better defense... he's got the ability to play D, he just chooses not to.
