According to 107 Hall of Famers, execs, coaches, etc. So, how many spots down do you think we'd see our first Knick. Who is our best player anyway? Lee? Gallo? Harrington? Duhon?

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63167/20091203/kobe_edges_lebron_as_no_1_on_current_top_50_list/

The list and some notes

1. Kobe Bryant, SG, Lakers - better basketball player
2. LeBron James, SF, Cavaliers - better at running people over and getting fouls called, PS look at #1 to learn a post game
3. Dwyane Wade, SG, Heat
4. Dwight Howard, C, Magic
5. Tim Duncan, PF, Spurs
6. Chris Paul, PG, Hornets
7. Kevin Garnett, PF, Celtics
8. Dirk Nowitzki, PF, Mavericks
9. Carmelo Anthony, SF, Nuggets
10. Paul Pierce, SF, Celtics
11. Steve Nash, PG, Suns - he's like 56 years old
12. Deron Williams, PG, Jazz
13. Tony Parker, PG, Spurs
14. Brandon Roy, SG, Trail Blazers
15. Yao Ming, C, Rockets - a little high no?
16. Shaquille O’Neal, C, Cavaliers - did Shaq vote for himself???
17. Pau Gasol, PF, Lakers
18. Chris Bosh, PF, Raptors
19. Amare Stoudemire, PF, Suns - too high
20. Chauncey Billups, PG, Nuggets
21. Kevin Durant, SF, Thunder - way too low
22. Manu Ginobili, SG, Spurs - too high
23. Jason Kidd, PG, Mavericks
24. Tracy McGrady, SG, Rockets - If we had the top 50 injury list, he'd make spots 1-10 with bad back, bad groin, bad knees, bad eye...
25. Joe Johnson, SG, Hawks
26. Derrick Rose, PG, Bulls - Riding his jock a little too early, hasn't accomplished all that much yet
27. Ray Allen, SG, Celtics
28. Gilbert Arenas, PG, Wizards - Spots 11-20 on the top 50 injury list go to this guy
29. Ron Artest, SF, Lakers
30. Vince Carter, SG, Magic - which one of these is Wince?
31. Danny Granger, SF, Pacers
32. Baron Davis, PG, Clippers - besides that magical run, when have his teams done anything meaningful?
33. Devin Harris, PG, Nets
34. Ben Gordon, SG, Pistons - I think this is Isiah's list
35. Al Horford, C, Hawks
36. Carlos Boozer, PF, Jazz
37. Nene, C, Nuggets
38. Rajon Rondo, PG, Celtics
39. Andre Iguodala, SG, 76ers
40. Josh Smith, PF, Hawks
41. Rudy Gay, SF, Grizzlies
42. Hedo Turkoglu, SF, Raptors
43. Lamar Odom, SF, Lakers
44. Shane Battier, SF, Rockets
45. Elton Brand, PF, 76ers
46. Richard Jefferson, SF, Spurs
47. O.J. Mayo, SG, Grizzlies
48. Charlie Villanueva, PF, Pistons
49. Michael Redd, SG, Bucks
50. Andrew Bynum, C, Lakers - belongs in top 25 or higher

I think we could sneak out someone like Michael Redd or Charlie V and sneak in David Lee or Gallo, what do you think?

Other teams with 0 top 50's Bobcats [SJax, Wallace], Kings [Martin], Knicks, Timberwolves [???], Warriors[Ellis] might belong before our guys though

Edit: oh yeah, Twolves have Al Jefferson, forgot since he's always injured

Dirk should be third on that list.

Elton Brand
Yao Ming
Tracy McGrady
Nene Hilario
Hedo Turkoglu

Do not belong on any top 50 lists.

post the top 200 i still dont think we have anybody. i'd say lee is our best player right now, though i'd trade him in a heartbeat if it got jeffries or curry off the books. (or a lotto pick for that matter)

i don't watch Houston much but Battier always seems like the smart guy on the court. Obvious defensive specialist and limited offensively, but he would be in my top 50.

Shane Battier is the guy Jared Jeffries wishes he could be. He plays great defense and knocks down the 3ball with consistency.

he's a good role player but IMO role players don't belong in the top 50 list

Marv,
Dirk and the Mavs are playing great basketball right now despite the injuries and despite being in a tough division and Confernce.
