Did anyone even know Duhon was a captain?

LOL at the bold, couldn't agree more. D'Antoni is making this personal with Nate it seems. Can't completely fault the guy but he is just feeding the fire at this point. Here's hoping for a change in direction starting now. Let's see Douglas and Hill too please...

OH PLEEZE!!! Avery had a TON of talent and couldn't keep his damn job!!! Mullin has never won anything. He may well one day end up in our front office, but he's got a lot to prove too. 1st of all this is 15 games into a nothing season anyway, so what's the big deal? They'll eventually make a move, but I don't really fault MDA for hesitating on Duhon. Players don't want to see that the coach has a quick trigger if you're playing poorly. Tho he's made changes to the SL for the most part he's been patient with the guys and tried to allow them to play their way out of the slumps. Duhon when he was playing well was a good fit for us. MDA had to allow a good amount of time to see if he could get right. Maybe now he's ready to move forward and give someone else a chance. I just don't see any of this as proof somehow that we have the wrong GM and wrong coach for when we DO ACTUALLY HAVE THE TALENT TO WIN.

No changes have been made in the starting lineup according to Hahn. Well it looks like Mike D'Antoni would rather lose every game thean bench Duhon.

Yeah, I don't get that. According to Wikipedia, his won-loss record is .735%. Was that just because he had great players or does the guy have some talent as a coach?

All I know is that Doc Rivers was on the thinnest of Ice before they got KG and Allen. You bring in premium talent you're gonna win. Now some coaches are great at getting more out of mediocre talent and then you have the Phil Jackson types that are great with the superstars. I believe that MDA will be great with great talent. He's got the right personality for that. I could care less how he looks with losers.

A) most teams have a team pres and gm. you hire Mullin to help Walsh. The job in NY is too big for one person as is and then there is the added concern of Walsh's frequent naps and early bed time. Who knows how many opportunities came across his desk while he was sleeping thus far?

B) you are delusional if you think the other 14 players on the team respect Mike for sticking with Duhon 40 mpgs while he plays this awful and the team has won 3 out of 15 games. if you were playing would you really want the guy who is paid to make the tough decisions to totally flake like Mike has with this duhon thing at the expense of winning?

C) really don't get where u r going with ur criticism of Avery...Mike D'Antoni had more talent than Johnson did and he lost his job too. At least Johnson can say he coached a team to the Finals...how bout MDA?

D) Doc wasn't on the hot seat. Regardless of what I think of his ability to coach, he did win a division title and made the play-offs 2 of the 3 years prior to them getting KG and Allen. He also was a complient soldier through Ainge tearing down the team and he didn't stifle the development of guys who had a future with the team like Kndrick Perkins for veterans like Ratliff who had no future there.

You got to be a little tired of the constant line up changes. I don't blame him for keeping duhon in despite his struggles. There's no way that benching your captain benefits the coach in that lockeroom. You name me a captain in sports that come off the bench, not even jordan could do that.

Got to give these guys a chance to grasp some sort role on this team..

Call me optimistic, but this team is not as bad as it's record..they just need a leader in the worst way, and duhon is the closet thing we got
I'm sure MDA looks at duhon, thinks of his great leadership skills at duke, and see glimpses enough for him to pray he gets more consistent..That's the only logical explanation I can see that makes sense.

I think D'Antoni wants Duhon to be a leader in the locker room as well. I think his plan was to rely alot on Duhon for leadership on and off the court.

Duhon is MDA's mole.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
Duhon is a captain?!?!?!?!? Nate might start tonight....
