I don't see how his value can get any higher/albeit we didn't need MDA screaming at him. We won't be able to afford him at this pace--he will get a 5mm$ contract per--as Lee who if given a chance to play the natural 4 will get 8-9mm. If were going to get value--the time is now. No one is injured and they are playing nice ball+ they both still have reasonable contracts. Time to sell high now @ the 1/4 mark.

I'd like to have traded them long ago and I agree that now should be a good time to do it, particularly if you can package them with Jeffries. Only problem is that they can veto any trade. That said, why wouldn't they want to get the hell out of dodge?

I would do it--they won't--talking the Knicks--and although the Warriors may have wanted to trade Ellis--that would be nuts. Monta Ellis is avery close to Dwayne Wade--if I could get him in a trade without having to get on my knees and pray --I would do it. I mean we need a complete rebuild with emphasis on finding a 7+ C who can play but having a lead guard like Ellis would go a long way.

Still too soon. Teams may want to see more before jumpin on the Nate bandwagon. If was to get the nod as starting PG and performed well then I could see teams calling. He's so dynamic the only issue is his behavior. If he started and showed teams he can be serious that would do it.

They can't be traded until December 15 or the day after...Nate and Lee have veto power.

do you think the warriors would do that? plus brendan wright is injured and hasn't shown much.. why would you want this guy briggs, especially when he hasn't proven a thing... you bash our young guys after 15 games, yet brendan wright is someone we should trade for? anyway, I think portland would be a good trading partner... I would see if we can get webster from them as well as rudy fernandez and a pick... give them lee since they seem to have the hots for him.. Webster would give us a true SG, and then we can explore moving wilson, mobleys deal to try to get rid of jeffries or fat curry....

unless u're somehow dumping Curry or Fishlips' contract, there's no way a trade like that will be taking place... i wouldn't wanna take on Ellis' longterm dollars & screw any hope of signing any max FA's in 2010.

Why would I want Monta Ellis? Because we need good players and he is a very close replica of Wade for much cheaper.

NO.. why would you want brendan wright? using your criteria, not only is he unproven and not good, but he is a bust..right? I mean if brendan wright was in a knick uniform, there would be no mercy.. yet you want him? wassup with that?

brandon wright is an injury risk. as far as playing he has shown he can put the ball in the basket at a very efficient rate, defend, and his court awareness at 19 was light years ahead of hill at 21 22 or however old he is

There are very few lead guards playing better than Monta Ellis in the entire NBA # 11mm he is a steal. If we gave up Chandler and Tony Douglas--that would make the deal 3.5mm cheaper.

no, not if it costs me a chance at landing 1 of the bigger names.

I don't know about you guys but Monta Ellis is one pretty big frikin name right now. The guy is playing on a superstar level once they shed Jackson. He single-handidly beat the Mavericks. I don't see much of a difference between Ellis and Wade--where is there that much of a difference?

he isn't from2003, which should be a plus considering Monta has less mileage and isn't long in the tooth.

wade is bigger and stronger. A better defender, has a ring, can post up, block shots and doesn't turn the ball over 11 times like ellis did the other day..

well to start with he's only shown over a short stretch of games that he can play at a superstar level... let's see him do that over the span of a few seasons before we say he's on Wade's level.

secondly, he's about 3 inches shorter than Wade... that's not something to simply gloss over... when's the last time an undersized SG like him has led his team to an NBA title? let's keep this to modern day hoops cuz the average size of NBA players was a lot shorter back in the old days.

i think Ellis is a nice player... if we could dump Curry or Fishlips' contract & have to throw in Gallo & Chandler, i'd probably do it... would love to have him but i don't take his contract on & sacrifice any shot of signing any of the max FA's in the greatest free agency class in the history of the sport.

I think between December 15th and the trading deadline in mid february this place is going to be trade scenario central.

If Donnie doesn't make some kind of move to improve this team (even if only improving it on paper) between now and the trade deadline then there won't be any reason to tune into the last 35 games. There is almost no reason to tune in now except to see either a miracle win or some playing time for the kids.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
I think this is where you trade Nate
