Sign Iverson NOW.

I don't want to hear how he's going to hurt the development of our young players. Having the starters dig 20pt holes hurts the development of our young players. Iverson would keep the games closer, which would help our young players.

Iverson needs to replace Duhon. The idea that he's a bad character is preposterous.

This is a smack in the face of every fan that he's not a Knick. The idea that signing Iverson does anything but help this team right here right now is an insult.

Iverson is saying that he is retiring. As far as the young players, D'Antoni doesn't play them anyway. The Knicks are not a good team and they don't play defense or show any passion. The Orlando/Miami game reminded me of why I love basketball and loved the Knicks. I think D'Antoni needs to be let go. There is no passion, no defense, no development of young players, no flexibility and no discipline. The system, coach, city, and cap flexibility are only going to attract guys that are not in better situations or will not be rewarded as generously. That rules out LBJ, Wade, most likely Bosh, and leaves Johnson and Amare as the best case scenario if D'Antoni and his system are retained for the year.

Atlanta is 11-3.

We need to sign Iverson so we're competitive. Being competitive will help the young guys in lots of ways.

D'Antoni needs some kind of weapon in the backcourt. Duhon is a pathetic nothing.

And the idea that Iverson is retiring is ridiculous. He's doing it to save face because the Knicks chickened out so badly.

Yeah, we came back against a horrible Indiana team. And we beat winless New Jersey. Guess that means we don't need him.

There must be a reason that no other team will sign Iverson - probably several.

Probably because he wants to start. Most teasm may have been scared off from his time in Detroit--or so it appears that way. Does not appears that AI wants a secondary position on a team and is unwilling to commit to that at this point. If I was the Lakers I would see if I could get him as a guy off the bench and safety net in case something happens to Fischer

Whatever. Iverson can't save this season. Or this team. It's all about 2010. If that doesn't work, the mob will get out the pitchforks.

Yes, but those other teams are all better than us. Every single one. Those other teams aren't starting the worst backcourt in basketball. We need someone to run this offense. Duhon is not worth discussing. Hughes seems to be able to do it once or twice a week at best. Toney isn't ready and could learn from Iverson. Nate is the huge disappointment to me. He should be so much better. It just seems like he'll never get it.

I agree he can't save the season. But I would argue he can make the team competitive. We're not going to make the playoffs, obviously. But maybe we can win 30 games with Iverson and play in games that are closer and not be such a league wide embarrassment.

Look at this team - We've been down 20 in every game Eddy Curry didn't play in except New Orleans. Eddy is the difference now? What is D'Antoni doing? How on earth is Duhon receiving minutes?

25pts 8asst for Jason Williams last night. 12pts 2assts for Jamaal Tinsley. I won't even mention Jennings. They need a more dynamic guard than Duhon setting up the offense. Bottom line. It's killing everyone else on the team how horrible he is. I don't know if he's got an alcohol problem or what, but he has no confidence and he's destroying the offense any time he touches the floor. They need a lead guard. Is Iverson ideal? Probably not. But he could be above average.

Look, the Tmac thing is not going to happen. It's just not. And apparently D'Antoni doesn't trust Toney or Larry enough to give them the keys. And we know he hates Nate. We need someone else.

i think we're wasting our time talking about AI at this point... they already made their "plans" known publically & passed on AI... they're not gonna go crawling back at his doorstep now after all that & admit they were wrong... they'll continue to try & milk some kinda production out of Duhon this season regardless if he's playing well or not, at least until the trade deadline... after that if we don't see some serious changes on this team in regards to increased minutes played for our young guys then Knick fans should boycott this team for the rest of the season.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
