The Mavs were asleep at the wheel last night because they've been playing some great basketball. They never put them away GS climbs back into the game and they couldn't stop Ellis.

Dallas did seem kinda asleep in the first half but that was one of the more interesting games I've seen this season.
Ellis looked Wade-like in the first half but it's worth noting that Curry had an excellent game. In addition to an efficient 18 points and 6 assists, his plus/minus stat was something like +15 and he made some very nice plays--an unexpected alley-oop to Randolph for a dunk, a layup over Dirk--at the end of the game. IIRC, he scored the last dozen or so points in the game. He looked like he was favoring his hurt wrist a bit but it didn't seem to affect his shot or his ball control. He had maybe 3 turnovers. (Compared to 10 from Ellis.) Curry and Ellis might make a backcourt yet. |
