Wilson Chandler was 5-20 from the field...it's not about him having a bad shooting night...he takes terrible deep jumpshots with the defense in his face. Paul Pierce blocked him down the stretch in the Boston game. They are momentum killers. His driving ability is non existant. He has no take ability. No reason for a dude with no ability to take his man to be shooting 20 shots. His defense is always decent....but the way I describe Chandler is the same song and dance every game....he deserves to be on the bench. He's just not a starting calibur player right now...I dunno what happened to him. A change is needed. Can't keep rewarding the guy with unlimited playing time.

Duhon...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooddddddddddddddddddd!!!! Geez man...He drains the energy from the team. Passing just to David Lee is not gonna win ball games. He had 6 assists but what was his inpact on this game? he has none. Toney Douglas hasn't been rackign up assists but the guy's floor game is so good you say to yourself, "he didn't have any assists? could of sworn he had at least 3-4" He's just busy and it infects the team. Nate Robinson saves the day again....how much longer must this go on??? Douglas needs to start and Nate should continue to come off the bench....Duhon should not play at all!!! How much more evidence do you need?

Jordan Hill is the most active big man the Knicks have. I like the platoon of Eddy and Jordan hill at center. David Lee is annoying cuz he's so active and smart on offense, yet he is so inactive and stupid on defense. I would like to see David Lee and Jordan hill start as the 4-5 combo. Gallo is such a good but timid, defering player. You gotta start him cuz of his jumper and intangibles on both ends.

D'antoni likes Harrington off the bench. Fine...His offense makes sense as a change of pace from David at the 4...but David has to play the 4 not the 5. Chandler adds an option off the bench...give him the role of defensive stopper off the bench. He sucks as a starter. Nate off the bench as usual...maybe you use Duhon but he should be getting the bs minutes Toney Douglas is getting.

Wish I could put this breakdown in D'antoni's hand.

i'd sign iverson.

iverson/toney
hughes/nate
chandler/gallo
dlee/harrington
curry/hill

but they're going to focus on trying to trade curry and jeffries instead of trying to put a respectable team on the floor. i don't understand where or how duhon fits into any of that, but there you go. we have a horrible team and donnie has wiffed on a few good chances to improve it: 2008 draft, 2009 draft and iverson.

Eny, spot on.

Douglas/Nate
Hughes/Nate
Gallo*/Chandler
Lee/Gallo or Hill (depending on matchup)
Hill or Curry*/Hill or Curry

*Gallo isn't a SF but needs to be on the court and has range... just as was the case with KVH. I don't really care who starts between Curry and Hill, but in any event the minutes should be split. We all know Curry shouldn't get more than 20-25MPG

What is up with Gallo? He scores 2 quick buckets in the first minutes of the game, and then disappears?

And its more than having Lee no play the 4 - how about how Chandler had to guard Gasol last night?

And look at the rebound differential from last night? D'Antoni has to look at the stat sheet? Where the F is Darko? Is he that bad that he can't get burn on a .214% team?

I think the problem is you have too many guys that kill our flow on offense.

Chandler, Hughes, Duhon, and Nate all get significant minutes but they don't play in a team concept. I know Nate has been making shots but I included him here because like the others, he takes terrible shots. I mean does anyone else notice that when Hughes has a 2 on 1 opportunity on a fast break he always takes the shot himself instead of passing off for a much easier basket.

These guys all play a 1 on 1 game and take awful shots that make us much less efficient on offense. This is critical because we aren't good on the defensive end so we are essentially wasting possessions and giving the opponents free points. I could have also included Al Harrington on the list but even though he makes dumb mistakes every now and then, he is efficient enough offensively that he isn't one of our problems right now.

I think D'Antoni is doing whatever he can to get these guys to change but you have to remember three of those four guys are in contract years and they feel the incentive to pad stats...

I would love to see Hill and Douglas get more burn at this point. We didn't sign Iverson to let the young guys develop and to increase Eddy's trade value so why aren't we doing that? I can tell you right now that Eddy won't be force fed with a bunch of chuckers on the court (which is why I didn't see a downside to adding Iverson). I think at this point it makes more sense to play Hill and Douglas with the hope that they can show glimpses of being very good players in this league. That is the only chance we have at attracting free agents because we certainly won't win enough with the current roster to do that.

I would have tried out Gallo against Gasol a couple of times. He will end up being a PF in the NBA, why not let him guard one every now and then. He can block shots, and his lateral movement and positional defense is better suited for the PF position, not the 6'6" guys he guards all the time.

...And as usual, Gallinari has flashes, and then is out of the loop for much of the game. The first basket he made off the dribble, the midrange shot, was one that I don't recall him taking before, but he looked smooth.

They have to run more plays off high picks with him. He is a decent passer and decision maker- give him some more responsibility and put him into a position to succeed.

He also has to show that he wants the ball, though.

I would not start his lineup just yet, but at some pointI would like to see:

C- Hill

PF- Gallinari

SF- Chandler

SG- Hughes

PG- Douglas

We killed Larry Brown for his incessant line up changes - didn't help he started guys in their home towns.

But we're a .214% team. I'd like to see that line up start maybe once. And there is no reason MDA shouldn't try once.

I like the starting 5 you have listed here and your 8 man rotation is also solid. MDA is going to have to work Harrington and Jeffries in, though, for "political," as much as performance, reasons. He is not going to just bench Al, Jeffries, and Duhon.

The reasons we lose;

1. Kibe
2. Gasol
3. Binum
4. artest
5. Odom
6. We suck
7. Nate is a clown without brain. So are Al and Chan.
8. Galo is around but our moronic players cannot see him.
9. Yes and we have fat lady roming around...

Gallo didn't disappear. He had a number of nice assists, and played good defense while he was in. Get him the ball and he does good things.

I don't usually wish harm on anybody, but I am actually hoping Duhon gets nicked a little and force him in the IR for at least 2 months. This will give MDA an excuse to start TD. BUT..with our luck, he starts JJSkinny at the point.
