They dont want him back. Plain and simple. You read the stuff between him and Adleman and the GM and its plain as day Rockets want to collect insurance $$$ and walk away. McGrady is itching to play and supposedly did a ton of work to return early.

Mobely, Darko, JJ and Chandler for McGrady and pick #1 works capwise

Getting McGrady is only worthwhile if Curry is going out in that trade.

Having McGrady's Bird Rights and the ability to sign a few other big names would be the best thing that could happen to us. That means someone has to sign on for less money, but would have the chance to be a part of something very very special.

Ideally we keep Curry and send JJ in the deal. I am willing to be patient on Curry. He's never in his career looked like this physically. If we do include Curry I want their #1 back.

no way we'd be able to milk that 1st rounder in that deal, but even w/o it i'd do it... dumping Fishlips' contract is easily worth giving up Wilson Chandler at this point, & dumping him & Darko means a lot more playing time for Jordan Hill... even if T-Mac comes in & gives u nothing it's still a worthwhile move to make just for the cap benefits we get... but a move like this makes too much sense, i doubt it has any shot of happening.

McGrady's contract is one of the saving graces that are still sitting out there for the Knicks.

1 - its expiring
2 - he's got beef with the team
3 - he might actually be able to play
4 - they can be a landing place for JJ or Curry

I would hope at this point that Walsh has been contacting Morey so much about TMac that he's got him above his own daughter on his speed dial.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I have no problems with acquiring TMac for the rest of this year. I think the problems the team was worried about in signing Iverson really don't exist when it comes to TMac. If Curry puts up 2-3 good weeks of play, I'm sure the Rockets would be more than interested with Yao being out for the year.

no, probably not, but i really like Joey Dorsey, kid rebounds like a maniac, but he's still very raw offensively... they're a team trying to compete now, so i think Lee would appeal to them highly... instead of Fishlips if we could substitute Nate & Landry even i'd make that deal.

PF - Hill / Dorsey

SG - T-Mac / Douglas

I would rather dump JJ and take a flyer on Eddie for this year. But Eddie is the only asset the Rockets are going to want from us. Curry + Chandler for TMac and the first rounder.
