from Chris Broussard in today's NY Times:

By the time the night ended, Sprewell was walking with an aggressive bop and hollering all sorts of foul things. He said the closeness of the game, Dolan's criticism of his character earlier this season and his belief that Dolan told the Knicks they had better win last night's game sparked his anger.

"I can't tell my sources, but when he announced that Zeke was taking over, he told them that they better win," Sprewell said, referring to Thomas by his nickname. "I got the scoop on that. It just shows me how the guy is. He does stuff like that. Then he announces that Zeke's taking over on the eve of my return. All the little games he's played this entire year, talking about my character and all of that. I let him do the talking earlier, and I'm just glad I was able to do the talking tonight."

I honestly don't think the Knicks' futility ends until Chuckie and Jimmy Dolan sell this team to someone without a pointy head.

Yea. They are not going anywhere if Dolan owns the Knicks.

LOL Dolan felt like the damn fool he is. The way he walked out of the arena had me laughing my azz off.

Dolan has a lot of nerve telling them "You better win". He got just what an egomaniac like him deserved- to be humiliated in his own arena, while the fans boo the team he believes to have so much "character" off the court.

I bet he doesn't do any interviews for a while after last night!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If spree scored 31 points and yelled at Dolan and the Knicks won, would Dolan have still gotten what he deserved? If not then wouldn't you rather Dolan not get what he deserves at the cost of the Knicks record? Just wondering.

It was a statement game. Dolan vs. Spree. It's not like this game was gonna decide what team rests at the top of the East. We were 8 games under .500 going into that game last night. One more loss only improves the odds at a higher pick. More ping pong balls for Isaiah to get a better chance to draft a player who can really help this shambles of a team.

Try looking at it like this: maybe the entire chain of events last night smacked Dolan hard enough in the face for him to not want to get punked like that again. Maybe he'll let Isaiah get things done uninterrupted.

Spree is being Spree. Spree has always been passionate and since Dolan alledgedly made those comments, Spree's reaction didn't surprise me one bit. Spree still has much love for the fans and many have much love for him. I don't mind the way Spree reacted because that is the way he expresses himself, which doesn't make him a bad person.

How can people say spree was being the man ? He would have been "THE MAN" if he would have let his playing , getting 31 pts and winning the game do the talking ...then he would have made Dolan look like a fool for trading him. But instead, him saying vulgar things in front of Dolan and his wife and many other kids within listening distance , he gave dolan a lot of sympathy from a lot of fans for his actions . Spree showed me he's straight up "GULLEY"
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

See now you have been hating on Spree all this time and you are JUST finding out that the cat is gulley? Son, listen up- We need more players like that. And don't gimme that chump talk about the wife and kids that heard it. There's cursing all the time on NBA courts, and alot of those same people and their kids go to hockey games that takes the cake when it comes to vulgarity.

You're sounding real soft right now, Playa... but I am really not surprised. Spree haters are usually the soft ones who keep their resentment for personalities stronger than theirs in the closet.

This ain't rucker park hardcore be real man. The league took the videotape of the game and if that punk gets suspended what does it tell ya. He will cost his team a game that they might have won if he was playing in it. Getting fined was one thing , but getting suspended is SELFISH "MEWELL" MOVE. Like I said nothing what spree did was right besides his scoring 31 pts helping his team win.

Don't get your panties in a bunch going overboard. Spree was fined $25K for it. No suspension. Okay? Can we move on now? Better yet, can you move on now? I know how you get started on JVG or Spree and never want to stop. The focus should be on what Isaiah is gonna do to help this team. Tell us when you think ya boy Chaney is gonna get chopped. Give me one of those famous Playa predictions on that.

I remember when Stienbrenner made an ass of himself many times and there have been times when he was very wrong and the yankees were a bloated joke.

Dolan is learning, and he learned humility the other nite. For what ever reason, what happenend should not happen again. That is good.

We should hope Dolan in on the path of being a better owner and hope his hiring Thomas is a sign of better thinking.

Yeah it's been rough around here, Vector, but I am still here, chopping up the haters as usual. Good to see you back!

As yoou can see, the glutton for punishment, Playa, is still on the board too, but he's not bigging up that trade anymore. It's obvious that the trade was a bust, but hey, the one who made the trade is out now. LOL Now it's only a matter of time before Isaiah gets KVH the hell off our roster and Chaney outta the Head Coach's office. Mark my words.
