I wonder how successful we could be with combining running when it presents itself and halfcourt sets when it doesn't. (We don't seem to get many points in transition anyway.)

In the halfcourt Curry would have:
Lee to clean up misses, draw out defenders as he can hit the 10 - 15 ft shot (couldn't when Curry was playing)
Gallo and Douglas for scoring, shooting and driving (more Douglas)
Jeffries (?)
Chandler to shoot from hopefully within the 3pt line and to drive.
Harrington - He is capable if he's not the go to guy and is another, dare I say shooter, at least driver.
Hills shooting could of course be of benefit as well, not to mention his defensive presence

Having Curry getting single coverage would be deadly, but he does have learn to kick it out and not get offensive fouls as in years past. We actually have some good shooters on the team in Gallo, Douglas and Hill and would like to see them out there with Curry and Lee. Ok, not a traditional lineup, but we don't exactly have anything to lose. Let's just try different things and see what works, as nothing thus far (outside of the rooks) has.

Regardless of the lineup, having an in shape Curry is our best chance at turning this mess around... I never thought I'd say that.

We haven't really been running SSOL anyway. Duhon walks the ball up and starts a half-court variation of the chuck and duck.

As to Eddy: Mike said not too long ago that if he comes back that he would be used how chicago used him (you know, how he's effective). Quick spurts of cuts to the baskets for dunks. Then his ass gets sat down before he gives back everything he just gave us in those quick 6-8 point outbursts.

Shhhhhh... it's supposed to be a secret that we don't run the SSOL offense.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Dudu's SSOL interpretation starts when he gingerly walks across the mid-court line.

Curry can really help us in our half-court sets. Mofo can score, and can pwn in single coverage.

Ok, I stand corrected. We don't run SSOL. But, think about Curry having Gallo, Jordan, Douglas and sometimes Lee to kick out to.

We were playing .500 or better ball when him and Lee were playing well together. Now Marbury and Crawford are gone but we have some pretty good shooters to put around him. Ok, Gallo doesn't shoot enough, and Hill and Douglas are rookies, but it's something anyway.
Having a presence in the middle is going to create much better looks for the shooter, will take pressure off of Al, will give us a big body to dish off to on Drives, etc.

We can actualy turn this around...

At first if may be rough trying to get accustomed to having a real post player, but I think in time it could work out really well. As guys have said, we aren't playing MDA's system and we may not be able to without a change at PG, so really having Curry may be the best thing to happen to us this year. It allows us to play a bit more traditional but with an actual post game. Plus Curry is great at back door cuts and alleyoops. Heck even when he weighed a ton he could do that. I suppose he'll be less prone to bowling defenders over with a spry body.

MDA has used a big before when he had Shaq, so it's not like he's never done this before. The key is gonna be how soon Curry can shake off the rust and how well the others adjust to him being on the floor. Hopefully they don't do to him what they do to Gallo. I've never seen a team so dense that they can't recognize who their best scoring options are. That of course falls mostly on Al, Duhon and Hughes.
