Acie Law and Steven Jackson

For

Raja Bell and Vladamir Radmonovic.

Damn, Warriors stay making lateral moves. They've been doing this for well over a decade. What are Raja Bell and Radmonovic going to do for them? Perhaps its a contract deal. I know Jax is heated. He wanted to play with 'Bron, not Tyson Chandler.

Just another pointless NBA trade, talent wise.

That gives Golden State an even more crowded back court. Wonder if there is any chance DW can try to work a deal to work something with them. They have some interesting pieces the Knicks could use.

Jackson's offense should help the bobcats. Not sure what this move does for GS other than to get Jackson off the team. VR's contract may be a year shorter than Jackson's.

T Chandler
B Diaw
G Wallace
S Jackson
R Felton

Aside from Felton, that's gotta be one of the bigger 2-5's in the NBA. If they don't get into the playoffs with that team then maybe Brown really has lost his touch. If they are playing with the discipline that he preaches, no way they should give up 100 more than a handful of times through the rest of the year.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

they traded their 3 point shooting w/ rad and raja.

imho, they need to ship out diaw quickly and get a guy that can score in the frontcourt.

Don't like the trade at all for Charlotte, unless some kind of follow-up trade is imminent. I mean, why Larry? Guarantee he was beating down Jordan's door repeatedly to get him to make a move, that's how this guy is. I mean can you picture this nutjob: "you gotta do something MJ, you gotta do something right now"! All they did was add pointless long-term salary with Jackson (does Stephen Jackson make them that much better? They're still not a playoff team) and they got themselves another PG when they already had two pretty good ones in Felton and Augustin. Maybe they opened up some more PT for guys like Gerald Henderson and Derrick Brown when they moved Radmanovic out but that's the only positive I see here. The only way I'd take on a contract like Jackson's is if my team was damn close to doing someting big. I don't see that with the Bobcats at all here. And Stephen Jackson's not Vince Carter... Who knows, maybe now with Law, they have their eye on another deal.. I might look to see if we can get something going with Charlotte ourselves now -- I like Law, Henderson and Brown a lot. I think all 3 of these guys could be good players, they just need a chance to play.

And maybe something small with GS for Bell (I though he was playing pretty well for the Bobcats despite putting off that wrist surgery) and a CJ Watson and/or Brandan Wright or something...

I think Larry also wants to move Wallace and now they can.

Yeah maybe.. Makes little sense unless they're ready to move on something else now. Wallace has a pretty bad contract himself - not sure I see too many teams out there that would do Charlotte a favor and take that contract off their hands. Maybe Wallace to Dallas makes some sense with Josh Howard out. Or maybe Wallace to Washington - I think Jamison is on the verge of returning soon though.

That's interesting. Brown had alot of nice comments about Eddy Curry last week.

Curry and Brown spent one, generally miserable season together with the Knicks in 2005-6. Curry was never the defender or rebounder that Brown desired, but Brown loved his low-post scoring abilities. Brown said he still believes that Curry, who turns 27 in December, can salvage his career and help the Knicks.

“I really think down the road he’ll be an asset,” Brown, the Charlotte Bobcats coach, said Friday morning. “I really believe that.”

Brown said he monitored Curry’s progress from a distance this summer, when Curry shed about 40 pounds with the help of a personal trainer. Wesley was the one who set up the program

“I was in contact with him this summer through Wes,” Brown said. “He was losing weight; he was making unbelievable progress.”

“If Eddy ever gets himself healthy, and the way Mike coaches, he’ll be a load to try and guard,” Brown said, “because who are you going to come off and help? He’s too good a kid. Hopefully, it will work out. I know what he’s been through this summer, and the sacrifices he made.”

Wallace for Curry would work for me.

I was thinking the same thing. At this point, would they even trade Chandler for Curry?

You know I gonna spin wit it

Curry & Fishlips for Wallace & Diaw?

gives the Knicks 2 immediate upgrades in talent, & gives CHA huge financial relief after next season... of course Curry coming back & showing he can play at a high level again would need to happen first for Brown to even be interested in something like this, but it wouldn't hurt our chances of signing anyone after this season in free agency so it's a deal i think Donnie may possibly consider... the obvious drawback is that is negates any chances of signing any max FA's in 2011, but if u can add a Bosh or Amare along w/Wallace & somehow trade Wilson Chandler for Rubio this season, you're looking pretty damn good going forward... u'd even have enough cap space to sign a couple mid tier FA's like Raja Bell & Grant Hill after this season on top of that to fill roles & add more depth.

2010 potential roster?

C - Bosh or Amare / Jordan Hill
PF - Gallo / Diaw
SF - Wallace / Grant Hill
SG - Douglas / Bell
PG - Rubio / 2nd round selection (Nic Wise?)

that team could easily contend for a mid seed ranking in the playoffs next year right off the bat IMO, & w/some future creative trades, good draft picks & continued development from Rubio, Hill, Gallo & Douglas, who knows what the ceiling could be? obviously if u could add Lebron or Wade instead of Bosh or Amare, u have a ton of other ways u can configure the roster as well.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

i dont think anyones gonna bite on curry until they see him play and sustain himself for a period of time. eddy remains a knick throughout the rest of this year.

He just needs a good month and a half of playing. If we get him in this week and he can go until February without seriously reinjuring himself and can put up 13-14 points in 25 minutes at 55%+ FG%, I think we can find someone to bite. You have to remember, the guy only has one year left on his deal and all we are probably going to ask for is an expiring contract and maybe a second round pick. So for a team with decent finances, it is not a huge risk.
