It's unbelievable but he looks better than ever. He's is taking a lot of shots directly in the post compared to years past. His post up game looks like it has a lot of improvement. he looks like he has dropped/diminished the 3 pointer from his arsenal and has concentrated on better shot selection and it looks like it is working--kind of what like Jos Smith is doing. I think the Knicks can learn something from this--use the three as a way to create space and as a secondary shot on a kick out rather than a primary weapon.Guys like Hughes Gallinari Harrington[although he needs to recognize what a pass is after 10 years in the league] can all get into the area of the post and use the size to get good shots. Id like to have the 7 foot option as well in the post but we really dont have one. But these guys have the ability to play well in the post. the game Harrington wa 15-18 he was primarily playing in the post. Taking a good shot also helps on the D because it leaves to less bad rebounds and run outs.

The guy was taught post moves by Hakeem in the off-season.

Guess he is putting them to good use....

I think that we can learn that if the best player in the game on the best team in the league has decided that taking higher % shots would help enhance both his individual and team game --then we should look at taking better shots ourselves. We have guys who can post but they settle for longer range shots way too much. I dont understand why MDA doesnt look at tapes of a team like LA and find a way to convey to the team to look for better shots.

You mean a guy who has won multiple championships as a PG in Europe and as a coach, coached a very good PHO team and the Olympics team and gotten rave reviews wouldn't have thought of that? You don't think, perhaps, that Harrington, Hughes, Duhon, Chandler, Curry, Jefferies have a collective BBallIQ of the puke I almost coughed up when reading the endless and pointless FIRE WALSH and MDA posts?

Kobe is mimicking Jordan. Jordan became more of a post player in his 30s.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Yes the same guy who allows his team to take a ton of bad shots and play very porous D. I'd like to hear the counter on that one. Why do the Spurs play well when Tim Duncan and Tony Parker go out? Because their coach gets the best out of what he has left--that's what the good old Knicks used to do. If you allow your players the freedom to take way too many bad shots and position them poorly with poor schemes on both ends and look like the absolute worst team in basketball--that is not saying too much.

As a fan of the Knicks and the game, its just tough to have high praise for D'antoni right now.

The players are flat out unprepared night after night.

BRIGGS, you are not trying: Jefferson. McDyess. Manu. Finley. Ratliff. All those guys have been to the finals. I mean, come ON.
