Didn't he play college ball in Arizona? Doesn't his family live there? Maybe he is just happier in that environment.

I was thinking about posting the same thing. Dude looks good and that dunk was impressive. If he could ever figure out how to add about 15 lbs to his body, he would be tough to stop.

Everybody knows Isaiah could pick first-round talent off of a Junior High School yard.

Just 'cause you can do it,

Don't mean you can do it in NEW YORK.

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

Channing is a good player on a good team that make him look good. Good for him.

I'm not so impressed. He's had a few good games, but his offensive numbers are falling and he still can't rebound or play defense. Just saying you have to have confidence and that's enough doesn't get it done over the course of a season. You need to have reasons to have confidence.

Frye had some killer games rookie year with the Knicks; 2 30 point games, back when people were prematurely comparing him to Tim Duncan. I've seen a few Suns games and other than stretching the his range out to 3 point territory, I see the same player that wore the blue orange. Only difference is he's playing with 2 possibly 3 allstars....believe it or not it makes a huge difference....

That's what happens to a skilled big man playing with a true PG. I HATE YOU DUDU!!!

i am willing to bet anything if Jordan Hill were playing alongside a PG like Nash he'd be beasting right now... watched that kid playing alongside a PG like Nic Wise all last year & he was very effective & got tons of wide open looks off penetration... Duhon does not do this & neither Nate nor Douglas have the court vision or instincts to get the job done either... ironically enough a PG like Branden Jennings would have been a perfect 1-2 combo w/someone like Hill.

don't disagree with any of this. Specifically, haven't seen any real PG skills from Douglas yet but I am ready to wait on him for a year or 2 in this regard.

Frye was always tailor made for the Suns. That's what is sad about him not being here to play under MDA. He'd love a forward like him. Of course you do need a PG, but still you get the idea.

i love TD's energy & defense but i dunno if we'll ever see him blossom into the orchestrator this team needs... i think he'll be more of the Charlie Ward/Chris Childs mode... he'll play gritty ball, be a leader at times, & make some big shots for us, but just doesn't have the court vision or instincts to be a ball distributor in the classic sense... i hope i'm wrong but i just don't see him as the longterm answer at the PG position for us... he'll be a nice backup option at both G spots.

even tho it's not a popular opinion i still think bringing AI in here would do this team wonders right now... the upgrade over Duhon is too drastic to be ignored, & w/a guy who would command respect based on his ballhandling, penetrating & shooting skills, it would open up so many easy scoring opportunities for guys like Gallo, Harrington, Chandler, Lee & Hill.

how did you come to the conclusion that Douglas won't get past what Ward/Childs did? Douglas played SG his whole senior year and was pushed out of the PG spot during his early years at college. So far during regular season, he has played SG (mostly). He played a bit of PG during SL.

We all know it takes a LONG time for PGs to progress. Tony Parker looked awful during his first years. So did Harris. We haven't even seen Douglas run an offense with guys who know what they are doing.

it's more a hunch than anything else... sometimes u just get a feel of certain players, & while i do like what TD brings to the table, i don't think he's gonna grow into much more than a role player in the Ward/Childs mold... like i said i hope i'm wrong & he becomes much more... i'm not saying my opinion is the end all & be all, i have very limited knowledge of TD, so just basing my hunch on what i've seen out of him so far... obviously my opinion of him can change very easily the more i get to watch him play.

my spider sense says the opposite, but that tingly feeling could just be from recently checking out the Alba thread.

Yup...confidence is huge. So is something to base it on. And yup having 3 All Stars on the team can do huge things for your confidence. What else is new?

Anyone showing up early to practice with the rook? Living a dream? Or just picking up a check?

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

anyone want to look at his numbers?

He is averaging just a smidge more scoring than he did his first year with us, and playing more minutes. And on a better team with a flow that should help produce more points per game.

Good to see him succeeding. Nice kid. But he has a nice place now to be - back of rotation kinda guy.
