I would trade anyone on the roster to get rid of Jeffries. If you do that, and it takes Chandler or Gallo, then you basically have a blank slate, which is better than having a mess.
Curry can't be moved at all if he doesn't play and play well. If he does play and play well, then he doesn't need to be packaged with someone to be moved.
I would try to buy a pick again and get one of the five or six big PG's and if they're gone, then I hope Larry "Gumby" Sanders is there from VCU. He's the closest thing we could draft to make up for missing McGee. If you haven't seen this dude on YouTube, it looks like he's holding up two brooms, like in a coaching drill, but its actually his arms.
I would use the Mobley contract too. I don't understand why you take that off the table unless $ is suddenly an issue here.
I'd hold a tryout at Rucker Park for the Knicks last open roster spot this weekend. It would be great extra programming for MSG, and you know what, I bet there's someone there with crazy handle that can play point in a pinch. What's Felipe Lopez doing these days? Omar Cook is averaging over 6 assists per game in Europe right now. Give him a call. The PG situation is an emergency, and I'd treat it as such.
Alan Hahn:
Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
