Don't knock his hustle, he's the new Nate Archibald of the NBA and to think we could have... I get depressed just thinking about it.

MSG and NYC would have made this kid bigger than life ! Instead of having the next best pg that this generation has ever seen to be the face of the knicks, we settle for our own version of "ROCKY" the best shooter Danphoney has ever seen.

Man, what a nice round the back for a rookie...

I like Hill, but it's sad that he passed on a pg with so much talent.
It would be better (I think) if Hill was getting some burn...

DW def mighta missed on jennings, but it wasn't gallo over jennings, so i don't get the gallo reference. it was hill over jennings and we haven't really seen hill play yet. so if we are being reasonable, judgment should be reserved. jennings could come back to earth and hill could turn out great. it's not impossible.

DW even admits he might have missed on a great talent. at least he's not saying he woulda took hill number one. hahaha.

I said the "face of the team" the guy we build around. How could mike dantoni allow this to happen all the yrs he had nash running the point for him. I'm calling the cops, we got robbed on june 24th or so at the NBA DRAFT.

There are no more travelling calls in the NBA. You're allowed as many steps as you want.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

i know you wanna take it to the racial angle here, but it's misplaced my bro. you are perceiving it because you are highly sensitive to race issues. save the race talk for when it's legit and don't water down the true life serious race issues by pulling the card when it's not necessary.

so playa... what you have based your drafting of him on?
Was it the 35% he shot in Europe?
Was it the 5 points per game he averaged?
Was it that youtube video he filmed when he called team after team that passed on him a bunch of dumb n!ggers?
Was it the fact that when he came in for his workout he weighed about 165 pounds and couldnt hit a jump shot?

Dude has great talent. Bucks def got high caliber talent where they picked him, but I can not fault anyone for passing on him.

Its arm chair QBing. If he's aa bust you picked a skinny PG from Compton who flunked in the Euro leagues and couldnt shoot in the workouts and didnt participate in the camps.

Does this board have Briggs syndrome? There is a new thread every hour for a player we missed out on in the draft. He's great, but there's nothing the Knicks can do about it now. This comes with being a Knicks fan. Our last draft pick that became an allstar was probably Mark Jackson.

Evil you are off on this one , so don't go there that is not what i was saying at all.

Dantoni needs a pg 1st to run this system and bulid around.

Fishy, the same video's we watched and druled over with Rubio , is the same type of videos that were available for jennings. Guys like J.Hill come by almost every yr in the draft.

ok. i'll trust you on that, playa. my bad.

you're right that the kid looks really good. i hope hill works out otherwise this pick was a blunder. honestly though, i think jennings wasn't really on our radar because the knicks never imagined a scenario where GS could conceivably add Stephen Curry to pair him up with Monta Ellis. i mean, really, did you see that coming? that was a curveball and it cost us. hill was the fall-back pick and jennings unfortunately wasn't in the discussion.

playa.. I am not disagreeing! Jennings was easily the best pick for us at 8! All I am saying is here were his knocks:
maturity: which he confirmed a lack of by those videos
jump shot: which he confirmed shooting poorly in Europe and in the workout
NBA body: which he confirmed by making Jamal Crawford look like Mike Sweetney

My point is its hard to knock anyone for passing on him based on that

As for Rubio NBA players were gushing over him. Lebron and Kobe were gushing over him. Not some homer that put together his own youtube mix and posted. Big difference dont you think?

In any case Walsh said he would have taken Curry over Rubio regardless

he's off to a good start. Teams will adjust. We are a long way from knowing what kind of player he's going to be. I have nothing against him, but its still a wait and see.

This reminds me of T.O but in the opposite way. They said and it's well known of his antics for 3 different teams 49ers, Philly and Dallas. Notice you never heard anything really bad about him off the field.

In the same way with Jennings, people talk about his immaturity, Jay Bilas said he had no jumpshot, mind you he participated in all of his pre-draft workouts wasn't afraid to go up against anyone, even my hometown hero Jonny flynn. On the court in games, you never heard about all the negative stuff the media wanted you to believe about him. So perception is sometimes greater than truth when it boils down to it.
