i know we are all tired of the lebron talk and each passing day with our teams falling closer and closer to the abyss, it seems highly likely that lebron isn't going to come here. with that said, could we do this? sign bosh next year and dont trade curry or jeffries and let their contract expire next year and wait for melo? he will be a free agent and i can see him coming to the east coast especially to ny. the only problem is him being "villified" after that brawl a few years ago but if you are winning, ny will forget. we have no picks next year to eat up the cap and the only decision will be chandler that year. an extreme measure will be wait until 2012 with howard and cp3 who, if the team continues on this path, will definately bolt the hornets. just a thought.

Come on man... I just threw up in my mouth reading this. 2012? What are you talking about?

So you keep signing one year guys until 2012? Awesome. There would be nothing but the Knicks City Dancers and the ushers watching the games at that point, and you're talking about putting Bosh in a situation where he'd be losing 50 games a year and getting booed off the court every home-game by the few people left watching, and being the joke of the league.

It's 2009. This is as embarrassing as the team has ever been under Layden, Isiah, Brown or anyone. 3 more years? That's your idea?

Are you related to Donnie Walsh?

If we don't get two star players in here in 2010, then MikeD and Donnie will be fired, er put out of their misery. Everyone has given Donnie a pass on his drafts. If all this waiting was for nothing, then he will be an infamous figure in NY sports history.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think this option has been mentioned before already. There is a plan B if the A-Listers(LeBron, Wade) does not sign here. Sign Joe Johnson or Bosh this year then try to sign Melo or another A-Lister in 2011.

This is what is commonly referred to as the "Oh s**t Lebron ain't coming here" option, and I am sure it is Walsh's fall back position. Although if he could trade Curry or Jeffries, I think he would go after Bosh and Joe Johnson this summer, which would make me very happy. Replace Lee with Bosh and Hughes with Joe Johnson and suddenly this team has some fire power.

If you don't get two of them to come, then you're going to have a real hard time getting one to come. That's why Donne's failed drafts are a big deal.

By next Summer this team won't be a punchline, because the joke will be old by that point.

Other teams have money and prospects. No way should Walsh GM this team a day past opening day of 2010 if we don't have two big time players in here. If that's the case then its just an outright failure.

Jennings had 32 and 9 last night and beat Denver. Donnie looks like a fool. The only thing protecting him is the dream of 2010. If that doesn't work out extremely well, then he should be fired and you know what, he'll want to be fired because it will get very uncomfortable for him.

look, the pandora box is already open and this method of rebuilding is our course of choice. do i want to see this for two more years? of course not. but outside of wade and lebron, is there any other free agent next year that could turn this team around by themselves? no i dont think so. bosh is a piece and we need another. i dont think joe johnson is the answer either because even though he is very talented he is not a franchise player and has his flaws. we want a championship team and those players, tho good, are not franchise caliber players. i would be very upset if that was the case but it looks like the course now. however, if we do get bosh and not throw money at johnson we have an excellent player to build on and entice the next group of franchise caliber players which melo is unquestionably one and i think is more than willing to come to ny than any maybe lebron and definately wade. as far as 2012 is concerned, that is an extreme case and the worst scenerio but having the best pg or best center in the game, could it be worth it?

well, i am with you there. we needed a homerun in these drafts and we are not doing it. for a team that has been losing as much as this team has, out of, what, 8 lottery seasons, i think, we should have ended up with at least one franchise building player. we didn't and that can be rooted all the way back to the layzie days. however, things change. i read the papers in my area in Philly and they are down on jru holiday pointing out other pg that are better and put toney douglas on that list as well as of course ty lawson and jennings. so it is perspective. again i am not throwing them under the bus yet. i think danillo still has some petential and hill will get his opportunities after the all star break. we will see then.

Jrue Holiday is the 7th most efficient guard in the NBA according to the numbers. Plus, he's got the physical tools to build on.

This stuff makes me crazy. I can't stand what Walsh is doing. If the rebuilding goes past 2010, then the jettisoning of Craw and Zach made no sense. That's why it's all on 2010. Plus you could have easily taken on contracts running through 2011 to make the team better and made 2011 the rebuilding date. If 2010 is not the answer, then I think the Dolans should just sell, let Mike walk, put Donnie out to pasture, hire a young, no-name coach and start from zero, start from the draft like we should have from day 1.

Jrue Holiday 6'3.25" 6' 4.25" 199 6' 7" 8' 4.5" 6.3 28.5 10' 9" 34.0 11' 2.5" 6 10.64 3.21 NA 13
Toney Douglas 6' 1" 6' 2" 183 6' 6" 8' 1.5" 5.2 28.0 10' 5.5" 32.5 10' 10" 15 10.63 3.03 NA 36

My personal analysis of these statistics would indicate Holiday's arms are too short and he is slow afoot. Let's see he was a one year wonder at UCLA? How far out do you think this kid is? and you expect to be the next who?

If I remember the body fat % and bench press numbers he is worlds away. And a defensive liability and that is why he gets no burn?

holiday doesnt look like he is much of a liability in this clip:

in limited minutes holiday is shooting 55% fr the field and has hit 60% of his 3's. what was suppose to be a weakness his outside shooting he has already improved on. according to 82games.com 88% of his attempts have been jumpers and his efg is 92.9%. he has a very high passer (13.8) rating rebound rating (17.2) and hands rating (22.7).
