I give D'Antoni until February and he is gonna walk away from the Knicks. I predict that Walsh will be fired by next January. I'm watching the Knicks with absolutely no expectations and what I see is a bad product with a hope of signing a dream.

NY fans are as patient as naked man before sex.
Walsh and do what they have to do - to demolish the rotten house...
I am not sure they will be able to build new one but at least I thankful that they started and moving forward with dirty job.

This has nothing to do with NYK fans it has everything to do with D'Antoni and Walsh. This team currently constructed will scare away any FAs available.

This team is not "constracted". It is is the process of demolition.
And it will go well longer than 2010 FA class.
If we will get somebody from the big tickets in 2010 it will be for money and future, not to win it now.
So be ready to watch sub-30 win team for another 2-3 years at minimum.

February ? There's no way he resigns/gets fired before July 1, 2010. In other words, its all about Lebron and the free agency class baby.

Please God, please let the Knicks do something right for just once.

he's not gonna quit in February when the team has loads of cap space next year. if Donnie doesn't get anyone this summer he'll quit, but not before then.

I think the reason he will not be here is because he will quit. Dolan will not ask Walsh to fire him. But D'Antoni does not handle scrutiny, pressure or even disgruntled players well. His system is not working and his team is not playing with any passion. The fans and media are going to react and I don't think he will be able to handle it for that long. I also don't think he has the ability or desire to change his style to make his team and players better.

Geez... get a grip.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

This is exactly what I'm talking about in my warning to Walsh thread.

By putting an emberrassing product on the floor he opens the door to an ultra-critical firestorm from local media, fans, national media etc.

In another week someone will ask if this is the worst team in history.

In another month people will be speculating if D'Antoni is the right coach to move forward when we get the 2010 fresh start.

By February the players will start chirping about the organization.

Agents will start complaining about what the Knicks are doing to their clients, the same agents of the MaxFA's.

It's a slippery slope that Donnie has put us on, all because he didn't think the last two years mattered. A little money spent on European scouting and a supply of 5-Hour energy and this could have been avoided.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

why quit? Its Isiah's fault. MDA is going to the guy who came here, turned things around and lured Lebron to NY.

D'Antoni will not quit, but will have to be forcibly removed from the garden by men in white coats while wearing a straight-jacket and babbling incoherently. It could be the best coach implosion the Knicks have yet engineered.

I think they get something. DW is more patient than all of us combined. Something will happen.

D'Antoni will not leave before the summer of 2010. Why? Because he does not want to miss out on the opportunity to coach the best player in the league. With that said Lebron coming here is not close to being set in stone however if it does happen, the Knicks will become the respectable franchise it once was.
