Now that the Yankees have won, does that play into Lebron's decision?

CC's one of his good friends and Lebron is a big Yankee fan - he will also be in NY on the day of the Parade so I am sure he will be there. What are your thoughts on this? Are we looking too much into this or do you think it will weigh in his decision to come to the Knicks.

In my personal opinion, even since earlier in the summer, I figure he's going to sign an extension with the Cavaliers. My hopes however is that he'd sign with the Knicks. Who knows...

i don't think there's any correlation... i'm sure Lebron's psyched just as all Yankee fans are but that's not gonna factor into his decision at all.

I think the Cleveland rapist that buried 10 of his victims in his backyard will have more to do with a potential decision to leave than the Yanks winning. And I think Cleveland being Cleveland will have a larger impact than both of those combined

There was an article in the Post or Daily News this season about the minor league team that had those four guys and was managed by KC's now manager... imagine that? It's rare for a minor league team to have one 15-year vet, let alone four, let alone four possible Hall of Famers, three probable HOF'ers, two definitely HOF'ers, and one big leage manager. Effing nuts!

I have been saying it all along. I rooted for the Yanks to get Lebron here. It could not be more perfect with the parade happening that day. He will feel the energy in the Garden whether he goes to the parade or not. CC will tell him how great it is.

Lebron is coming.

LeBron looking at Lakers?

5:28 PM, November 4, 2009 ι By POST STAFF REPORT

Michael Jordan biographer Sam Smith speculates that LeBron James will join Kobe Bryant and the Lakers when James becomes a free agent after this season.

Writing on bulls.com, Smith says, "Well, at least I’m fairly sure now where LeBron James is going to be playing next season. Los Angeles, most likely with the Lakers."

As for a possible landing with the Knicks or Brooklyn-bound Nets, Smith writes, "The general consensus seems to be ... the New York teams generally are a mess and would mean a step back in his competitive career."

Smith presents his case by saying that James' desire for a championship will allow him to be a secondary star behind Bryant until Bryant, now 31, becomes a little older and the roles will reverse.

"Kobe, working toward incredible immortality on the way to maybe 10 or 11 championships, backs off some to allow James to be the dominant figure when James is 27 or 28 and Bryant is looking at 35. Bryant could ease into a brilliant supporting role while the Lakers continue winning titles, and, in the end, like base hits, they count how many. Not how you got them.

"The big reason I believe this could occur and work is because James is an unusual superstar."

Smith does point out that the Cavaliers would have to engineer a sign-and-trade with the Lakers, instead of losing James to the Knicks or Heat for nothing.

Los Angeles has other advantages, according to Smith.

"James has often talked about expanding his empire, and lately has been involved with books and movies. So where else but in L.A. would you want to be to be involved in the entertainment industry?" he writes.

"Look, I believe James has no idea yet what he wants to do next summer. But I also believe the Lakers’ scenario makes the most sense for him if he wants a chance to be considered among the greatest winners of all-time."

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Well that's not going to happen, they can only offer MLE.

New York may not be as big a movie town as LA, but it is certainly a close second. And for LeBron, I think television has as much or more allure. Not to mention publishing, internet, VCs up the wazoo, and last but not least, THE GARDEN. Despite what this guys says, I doubt Lebron sees himself as second fiddle to Kobe.

Besides, the Lakers would have to gie up a ton of talent in any trade to land Lebron. They are not immune to the salary cap, so how effective will the Lakers be with half of their team in Cleveland?

Why would they be trading for LeBron?

LA can trade plenty of their salary for expiring deals. Odom and Gasol at a minimum.

LOL at the idea that Lebron would ever go to LA to play with Kobe. this guy has as big an ego as any superstar in the NBA, he's not gonna go ride on Kobe's coattails nor should he have to in order to win a championship. Lebron is also a once in a lifetime type talent... not that any of these hypotheticals mean much, but there's probably a much bigger chance he'd want to go play with Dwight Howard or Chris Bosh than Kobe Bryant.

Sam Smith is the worst. He's made a career out of creating rumors out of thin air. Generally outlandish ones at that, like this Lebron to L.A bullshyt. How he's been able to maintain even an ounce of credibility is absurd.

Yeah, I can definitely see Lebron coming to L.A to be a second banana [/sarcasm]

Amen. It's pretty f'in funny.

On a side note: I hear Delonte West is a Knicks fan and is trying to scare him away to NY, with his rifles and his bipolar mania. I'm pretty convinced that LeBron WILL be a Knick because of this. Of course, LeBron might be so scared that he might run away so hard that he missed NY and overran himself accross the boarder and to the Raptors. You heard it here first.
