I just bought it over the phone for 10. I've been looking for something like this for years in this type of condition. Out of the blue --- bang.

sweet ride briggs. only 27k miles aint shabby either for a 35 yr old car. i'd say drop another 10k on modernizing the interior/upholstery and other minor upgrades and you got yourself a pretty good investment, not to mention a bad ass car for you to haul ass in on the wknds if you goonna keep it for personal use.

No you don't mess with it. You keep it original. The guy told me it was in absolute mint original condition 1 owner and the only thing that wasnt there was the radio. I'll see if I can find an original radio to go with it.

Ill keep that for awhile--you don't find too many mint one's like that for what I just bought it for. In 20 years it will be worth 5-7 times what I paid.

Great buy Briggs. I had a very similar car (in 1972) and it was the most fun car I ever drove. A few years later I sold it cheap to my younger cousin to help him out. Every time we get together , we talk about that car with a BIG smile.

Does yours have a power top also?

I didn't ask if it had a power top. I just wanted to know more about the originality/authenticity and make sure it was mechanically sound to drive it an hour home.

In looking at the pictures, I'd say it has a power top and probably also a 4 barrel carburetor. That's a hot car!

Yeah when I saw that it took me 2 minutes to think about it and react. The only thing that stinks is that it's going into the bad time of year so I won't be able to use it until spring. Hopefully I get it home in once piece

Good luck!

Its like a puppy, happiest days are the day you get it and the day you get rid of it!

I am a sucker for old cars and they find me. I have done amazingly well because I wait for a deal to find me. My last one was an old porsche that was so fast is scared the hell of me.

The market is flooded with muscle cars now as they are bringing back baby boomers youthful memories.

I have feasted off of dudes who get these cars and dump all kinds of money on them.

My goal is to always have fun with them and make a little, which is really recouping what I got in. So its free fun! Key is "Have fun with it!"

My advice, just enjoy the darn thing and don't think of it as an investment. "I always wanted one" is one I have heard so many times to justify it. Just drive it and enjoy it!

Dude, screw that. Sounds like you got bank. Do yourself a favor and invest in you happiness. Make that bad boy your weekend whip. I guarantee you the ROI will be smaller than the ROA (return on awesomeness)

Thats awesome BRIGGS. I drive a Mustang convertible now with an Eleanor kit and I absolutely love it. Nalod is right man, just enjoy the ride. And dont take too many corners, it wasnt made for that.
