Its interesting because w/ Allen, Pierce and KG they have a limited shelf life. In a couple years I guess thats Rondo's team?

i'd say he's worth it. how many good point guards are there right now? only question is whatever locker room issues seem to exist with this guy.

rondo earned that contract during the playoffs last year. whatever other issues are out there with him, he knows how to excel in the postseason.

Rondo is good. That Bulls/Celts series was classic with him and Rose.

You know someone would have offered him at least that much in the offseason. If he's a bad egg, they should trade him after the season when KG and Allen's windows are starting to close.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

jw44 - i'll give the pierce, allen, kg window one more year after this but i dont think they are the team to beat in the east anymore. im putting my money on orlando this year to come out.

I'm sure they didn't want to have to extend him this year. Unfortunately the NBA forces you to make decisions like that. I wouldn't want Rondo to be THE guy on my team, but that's going to be on the Celts to flip KG/Allen/Pierce into younger players before they are completely done.
