NBA Lamarcus Aldridge has agreed to a five year extension worth approximately $70 million with Portland, a league source tells Y! Sports.

maybe one of the capolgists can tell us how the contract would look like each year?

safe bet on portland-- if aldridge turns into a longtime franchise player they just got him at a good price. smart move for aldrige it may not be a $100mil but you dont know if five years from now you will be a $100mil player. $70mil can still buy you a lot of coffee.

they're already capped out for the foreseeable. this move just means their nucleus is roy, aldridge, oden and the rest of their youth. how good that is remains to be seen.

they got noah when we got chandler at least we won that swap:))

the jury still out on that one, chandler has the physical tools to be a star in this league but he has'nt shown much besides a few inconsistent glimpses here and there...

well cnsidering the picks noah was a lottery pick while chandler was a somewhat project and he was drafted based on potential so i still beleive that we won that swap

Never liked Aldridge. This is a overpay by the Blazers who are going to find themselves maxed out pretty soon with the way they are handing out these contracts.
