Having lived in New Orleans, I would encourage a monsoon (a hurricane with fruit juice instead of koolaid) or something like a mint julip. If you're going insists on a hand grenade or some other everclear based drink, I would HIGHLY recommend the green dragon

Perhaps your hand grenade is different than my hand grenade. Here on LI, or at least in one bar, a handgrenade is when you suspend a shot of chilled vodka and another shot of Jager on the top of a glass of red bull. You take the vodka first (Letting the jager fall into the red bull which also makes it look like your setting off a grenade) and then you do the jager bomb.

yeah, that's a different "drink" altogether. There's a tourist drink on Bourbon St called a hand grenade. They sell it in some amusement park type plastic glass and charge an obscene amount for it.

anyway, seeing as how it's illegal to drink here, when I get back stateside I demand we get al;lan-fan3d on a drink menu such as that
