I have started to think that the Knicks need to move on from Eddy like they did Marbs. I think Walsh might want to explore a buyout if that is his only option. Curry and Mobley seem like wasted roster spots.

curry doesnt fit with this new quick knicks team. even when he is healthy he wont be able to keep up. on the brightside he is going to have the best seat in the house while he watches this team play this season.

You can trade him this summer since he will be an expiring contract.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Don't think Dolan is in buy-out mode. That seems confirmed by the decision not to use the Mobley contract in a trade, but instead to save Dolan money.

I don't think anyone trades for Curry. Mobley and LaFrentz had insured expiring contracts and Raef wasn't moved and I don't think Mobley will. However, I think Donnie does try to look at every possible solution available and pick the best. He might wait if he thought there was a chance.

Mobley wasn't traded because we wont take back anything longer than a year. Curry can be moved this summer for a better player with a longer contract. Someone who a team wants to move to save itself money. In this economy, there will be a few teams like that this summer.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I don't remember if it was last year or the year before but there was a big buzz about Raef's expiring and it never got moved. I do see your point and I think that Walsh is more of that mindset. It would be nice to move on and have a roster spot.

You wannabre GM's need to give it a rest. Too early to make these moves...which is why you sit in the stands and not in a mahogany desk in your own little office.

Knicks won't buy out Curry. Might as well keep him just in case he gets his stuff together (which I doubt). It's not like he's a cancer in the locker room like Steph was.

NO buy-outs. Way too soon. We are going to give Curry a chance this year. If he fails, then we will try to trade him next summer when he will have 1 yr left on his deal. If we can't move him then, Walsh might think about buying him out. But at this point, it is way too soon for a move like that.
