and 2 second round picks + 3 mm in cash

for

Nick Young[who is not going to get playing time with all of their guards and could be really good here
and Mike James[gives us a third scoring PG]

See if we can buyout Larry Hughes --save 1mm

and we could possibly have our new 2 G with Young--move Chandler to 3 and get rid of Jefferies salary slot for next year

This helps wash with PF depth/intangible players and cash/payroll this year + they get rid of excess

i like it but its wishful thinking wizards can afford to put their time into nick young and having him as a sold reserve while their older guards develope his game. he gets to be the protege of arenas, who is not much of a teacher, but stick around him enough you'll learn. most likely thats what washington is banking on.

You got to admit JJ has been plaing pretty decent, and i would prefer to let his stock rise this season, and perhaps his contract will become more attractive and can possible use in a sign and trade.

why would WAS even consider something like this? i'd be surprised if they took this deal if we included a 1st rounder much less a couple 2nd rounders.

I have yet to see a fan-suggested trade that has taken place in reality.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

That dont have cap issues next year yet they are not in the hunt for cap space. Jefferies is familiar with them and they are familiar with Jefferies. They tried to sign Jefferies long term but we offered more money. They don't need James and they arent playing Young but Jamison is hurt and they could use a glue man in their front court--they are a win now team--I mean what are they giving up for their team? A starter--No a rotation guy--maybe not with their new Gs--and it helps their cash position along with getting a guy who can actually help them. Jefferies is better now in pre season--than I have seen him---his contract has value as he has value as a player. the time to strike a trade is when the opportunity is there----O think there is opportunity there

exactly... i don't see why they'd make the deal & pay out an extra $7 mil on his contract for next season for a player they know is a scrub.

jeffries is playing like the seven million dollar man-- his trade value is up, but way too soon to trigger a trade. season hasnt even started yet. as for jeff returning to the wizards, its not unheard of. antoine walker was a celtic twice in his career traded and retraded by danny ainge.

come on man, this is fishlips we talkin bout. what are we talkin bout, fishlips? did u see how Elton Brand was punking him in that game after the elbow? he straight told him to his face that he was soft. jefferies gettin up in his face with blood trickling down his face tryin to be tough, do u think people around the league respect that guy? i mean i give him credit for playing hard but he just isnt a good basketball player and to think someone will take his 7 mil contract off our hands and give up a young player like Nick Young for a couple second rounders, sorry but i cant picture it to be honest.

Honestly, Jeffries may be more valuable to us since we still only have one center in Darko (Curry is a non-factor). If WAS were willing to give us Nick Young and James for Jeffries, I would do it in a heartbeat. They do have an overload at the 2-3 spots, so trading for Jeffries makes some sense and he only has another year on his deal, so it is not like WAS is making a huge financial committment. If we threw in $3 mill and a second round pick, I think they might go for it. We could use a young SG prospect like Nick Young. I would waive James and give those minutes to Douglas. HUghes can play some PG if we get in a bind with injuries.

the early quality play from Jefferies is promising. But again, are we trying to win games or further clean out this roster? If he starts the first 15-20 games playing 20-25 minutes a night giving you good defense and hitting some jumpers its going to help the Knicks win games. Then he gets traded the team goes on a tailspin. Wait.. didnt that already happen last year?

^^ sucks for JJ cause he's going to work hard and play his way off this team (I hope). He's lucky if he goes to the Wiz because they are looking great

jeff is trying to play his way out of ny too. he knows ny not going to re-up him at that lottery ticket payday he previously got. so he is playing it up working hard to get another ticket from a team out of ny. ny and jj are on the same page.
