You have a 6'8 230 pound super athletic wing player and all he does it sit outside the line and launch 3's.

I tend to think of myself as a wait and see type and save the snap judgments to Briggs but this is atrocious

Chandler shoots 2-10 from downtown. More than half of them didnt hit anything solid they bounced against the ground.

Take those away and he shoots 5-8 with 8 rebs

I cannot fathom what the point of last night was

I guess eliminating shootarounds was a bad idea.

I'm least worried about Chandler and Gallo finding their shots. They aren't going to suddenly become terrible shooters.

The fact that Lee plays from the perimeter even if he's making the shots is disturbing. That should be a fall back option, or something he does when another big is on the floor.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Yea, you know, someone mentioned that they're getting very weird, inconsistent minutes, and this could be messin' their heads up. So in the season with more consistent time they will find their Magic. Chandler should be ok he's young, just needs to be reminded to take it to the hole.

its not a case of the shots not falling rather the selection. 3s are fine when you have people in the paint area that can track down those long rebs and get put backs, etc. Did you see that? I saw 4 guys behind the arc launching away most of the night

Its the 3rd pre-season game, they are supposed to get weird inconsistent minutes. I blame it all on Duhon. It takes a real distributor to get the ball up the court and pass it out to the perimeter. Darko made better passes. Or a PG that can't draw a foul. Or may a shot in the lane (or doesn't actually ever get into the lane). I would bury this experiment. Duhon can turn the corner and effectively play at the NBA level as a PG. He will collect "assists" because he touches the ball, but he is not being a playmaker. Nate belongs in the starting lineup. He just needs to shut up and play.

I am disgusted by the number of 3 point shots that are being taken. New rule should be that you have to draw two shooting fouls before you get to shoot a 3pter each quarter. Go!

Yea, you know, i wouldn't bury this experiment. i thought that we had some really good stretches in last night's game, but as usual we had the slow start, and then we had a crappy finish. but there were flashes of brilliance!! maybe not brilliance. but darko looked real good, look good passing, altering shots, we're going to enjoy having him. again, look for the regular season and the healthier minutes-- the core should really pick up, it's really NOT LIKE the knicks to put up 80 something points, so you gotta know this will come. the defense looks better, if by nothing else than darko.

its one of the most simple concepts in the sport. When you shot isnt falling take it to the rim.

Apparently thats been replaced with a new concept. If you want to hit a quota of 3's and they arent going in you better shoot 3x as many

yea, you know what really strikes me? as a coach, if you see this going on, is there NO way that you can change this trend in-game?? why can't mda just say 'take it to the hole!' and then they take it to the hole? what goes wrong when a team shoots 7-41 treys??

Everyone 41 three point attempts is not solid basketball in my humble opinion, what the f@#% is D'Antoni thinking? Two feet from the basket then they kick it out for a LOW percentage three point attempt, this is done on several occasion throughout the games so far. Why do we make the low percentage show an integral part of our offense? This is just frickin stupid and totally ineffective. I also think Lee is getting further and further away from his bread and butter. He is a low post clean up guy, who's going to rebound when he keeps jacking up long range shots? This is not good basketball, for all of this we could have kept Chuckford since we are still chucking up shots without malice. The defense was better last night but we became undone by the over reliance of the three point shot. By the way Larry Hughes stinks monkey balls might as well give him the Suckbery treatment.
