i should'nt compare fassel to chaney becuase fassel is a far better coach and accomplished a lot more. the fact of the matter is this. fassel took his team to the super bowl and enjoyed great success as a giant's coach. but after one awful season, management had enough and said see ya. look to the knicks. chaney had THREE, count it, THREE, awful seasons where he only sniffed .500 ball when he received the job after van gundy quit and 0-0 in the beginning of the seasons. and this uncle tom is still the frigging coach. after his little group meeting which probably will not solve anything, he goes to a knicks christmas party to kiss some more butt. if this was happening to any other coach, they would be home watching video and devise strategies to a.) beat the next team they are facing and b.) look for ways to make his best players happy. should'nt management be unhappy and embarassed that the mecca of basketball has turned into the frigging washington generals of the frigging nba? the message they are sending is that you can coach the knicks IF you kiss our butt. so what if your own players question you every week and your rotations are exploited and your playcalling is in the dumps and your record is close to ten games under 500. unbelievable!
