Al Jefferson has lost 31 pounds, from 293 to 262, in seven months simply by eating Subway sandwiches.

"Ham and turkey on wheat bread, footlongs; sometimes I eat two footlongs," Jefferson said.

Jefferson is not a paid endorser of Subway.

"But I'm going to speak to my agent about the possibility," he said.

this is a funny thread but i know what Al's talkin about. when i first started to get back in shape, i went on the 'subway for lunch' diet and lost almost 20 lbs in 6 months just from that. i feel ya Al!

I don't know, man. It's a regular deli sandwich, to me. But with (much) worse ingridients. I used to work at a deli, and I used to eat at a subway before that. You're better off paying the extra 83 cents and getting a deli-made sandwich than going to a glorified fast food chain.

It's not a bad thing to have once in awhile if you have a smallish dinner, if you're losing weight. Also, hold the cheese and have wheat or Oat bread.

It's really not something you should get used to though. Maybe a reward for a great week of gym workouts or something.

Funny one.

What a shame it will be if he blows this season and loses his chance to get real. I hope MDA and DW can get through to him and he somehow transforms. He has a lot more potential than JJ, who is the very model of a shlub.

Jimmy Johns or Jersey Mikes are pretty good for franchise slop.

I won't eat Subways anymore, its just nasty. They got them in Walmarts and the smell of freshly baked yeast matter with dirty Walmart floor mopping fluid just does not not mix.
