After three months of intense work, Curry rejoined his teammates at the MSG Training Center last week. He has participated in a few scrimmages, but according to several people within the organization, he had to leave a game with a hamstring strain earlier this week.

What a joke...

I don't know what to think about Curry at this point. He could be headed down Big Snacks territory where every yr he ends up hurt and never gets started. Even healthy he was gonna have a tough time fitting in. That's why I think Darko has a shot to play here and do well. Curry mostly just scores while Darko does things we need like help D, setting picks, passing and hitting a jumper when open. This is gonna be tough for Curry.

I love how he's being praised for dropping from 357+ to 317+ during the summer. It better be true and he better play like a monster to begin the season so Walsh can trade him. If Eddy stays we all know he will just gain weight all year as he does every year and be a broken down 345+ pound wreck come March as usual.

this is his last shot at another big payday, not saying he will get it but he has a chance, up to him if he plays like eddie curry instead of eddie mac.

Eddy has another year on his contract so this may not be motivating him. He will make a ton of money for two years no matter if he dogs it in practice or has to sit out the season because he has treated his body so badly.

more reason to doubt those bull**** weightloss numbers the Knicks and Curry camps fed us... usually people that lose that much weight are doing so under professional guidance. And usually those professionals have you running and stretching nonstop. Hamstring injuries happens when you haven't been pushing yourself terribly hard and then are asked to run pretty hard.

Eddy is pacing himself. For the buffet line.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I know people get grossed out by it, but his trainer said that he lost a good portion of his weight by doing a colon cleanser thing. Supposedly he lost 15 lbs from that. So in essense, he really only burned like 25 lbs in fat.

Some players who lose weight still pull a hammy. He is a big boy and probably doesn't have a full stretching regimen. I withhold judgement on the man until I see him in real game action.

If he sucks, it's just dead weight on the bench. But maybe, he won't.

you'd think that a guy who lost a lot of weight this year would be fit but of course no.

i hate his soul.

A professional trainer should have had Eddy stretching, running, etc. Workouts in pools where it is easier on the knees, legs, etc. I just don't buy this pulled hamstring thing. Last year it was his knee so he didn't play all year. This year in the first unofficial workout he attends he pulls a hamstring right at the beginning? Right. (sarcastic) I think he is mentally weak and really afraid of MDA. Afraid to have to go out on the court and be scrutinized by the coaches, players, fans.

okay, i know it's en vogue to go after eddy, for many reasons we can list...of which some are legit at least as a disappointed fan (although he has also dealt with some ish no one here has) but...

a strained hammy is not a pulled one.

not saying it won't be an issue, but let's see what happens.
