I am a die-hard knick fan and I have gotten used to losing. Every game night I get optimistic and root hard for my team and more often they ruin it leaving me in misery. I waste 3 hours on every game and 75% of times get no joy out of it. I have to deal with Net fans tomm telling me what idiot's knickfans are for cheering for the knicks.

Are we complete idiots to cheer for a team to win that plays as if it does not care? Is there any reason to watch any more games? I am seriously starting to consider becoming a bandwagon fan! Between the Knicks, the giants and the Rangers my life as a sports fan is coming to an end. Can a regular fan boycotting the NEW YORK KNICKS do anything?

Its not like I don’t have a life, I just choose to follow the knicks and I get burned for it. I should stop watching games because over the last 2 years my optimism has disappeared. I am not a fan of the players of the ownership or the coach. I am fan of the club and I will root for whoever plays in the knick uniform. Can someone please say something to give a little hope?

i feel like that sometimes. but i could never just all of a sudden be like "oh ok now i am a pacer fan" i am also a big Met fan. you gotta stick with your team even when they suck. the knicks wont be this bad forever. i just wish i didnt make a bet that they will make the playoffs at the begining of the season....

i feel the same way. i am also a met and giants fan and i live in the southern part of jersey where philly fans, for some reason, are plenty. so when i go to work i hear it also. it is weird for me because i enjoyed a decade where the philly teams were the worse and the new york teams were better. since around 2000, that has changed. it is frustrating with the only gratification moment is to see the philly teams crash and burn in the playoffs. now that is funny. i think with football and baseball, there is a certain amount of hope becuase the leagues have parity and a team can be great one year and fall the next, especially football. but the nba is'nt like that. the wrong moves can set you back in years. that is our case. we signed and traded for problems that ultimately damaged our team. granted, i still think this team can make it to the playoffs but the fact of the matter is this. layzie came in to retool an already championship caliber squad in 1999. then he destroyed the team. let's face the facts: this team is not going to compete for a championship with ANY of the players we have now. it is depressing when you think that it will take years, 5-10 years, for us to get back to the 90's level of winning when it could have all been avoided.

I think we'll have to accept losing for a while, whatever happens. Suppose the Knicks find a way to rebuild, start playing Williams, Lampe and Sweetney? We'd continue to lose, but at least we'd have hope.

The problem now is there is no hope and little to cheer for. There was that little stretch when Houston and KVH were out where you could watch the games and like the team -- no superstars, just guys playing as a team.

If you want to try to look for positives you could say that these are still a bunch of guys who haven't played together much. We have three new players this year.

*KVH, as bad as people say he is, is probably capable of better play. His outside shot just has not been going down.

*Dyess will hopefully continue to improve and be a solid contributor.

*Frank Williams will hopefully continue to improve. (Last night against GSW he was horrendous. He just kept tossing the ball away - I don't know why.)

*We may soon be rid of "Bible Thumpin'" Ward and his sidekick Thomas. Maybe we will see an end to the post game prayer session.

IMO the last two years has soured fans in several ways. We all have gotten acclimated to this losing and either we simply believe that this shambles of a management, coaching staff and roster will somehow get us over the hump; or end up resigned to the fact that we can't change it and accept reality for what it is, waiting for the inevitable dominoes to fall (as far as management/coaching and roster changes) in order for the team to properly improve.

As far as Nets fans jawjacking, they can't tell me anything. That team NEVER won a title and are looking like the fluke of the last 2 years is over. Especially after losing to the Grizzlies by 47. Anyone under verbal attack by Nets fans can just drop that bomb on them and it'll back them the hell up- guaranteed.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Doesn't look like its going ot happen. The worst part about it is that I don't see any hope for the future. No one can take us on a championship run. Frank Williams cannot win us a championship, Dice DEFINATELY WILL NOT , Milos doesn't even want to play and they wont let Lampe play! They are all good complementary players at this point. There is no hope. None!

Can we all agree on Malone as a replacement coach for Don Chaney? Anyone (within reason) is better than Chaney right now.

Also, check out the Knicks city Dancers wallpaper on the Knicks website (nyknicks.com).
