KT is a hustler at times, but then other days he's lazy and doesn't move his feet on defense. He makes cross court telegraph passes and want's to take the big shot and sometimes forgets his role on the team. He needs to go home to Dallas or anywhere in Texas.

FOX NEWS:Dec 16 2003 - Kurt Thomas has not requested a trade, but he isn't happy about being removed from the starting lineup and wants ''to go where I can play and where I can be appreciated.'' Thomas and his agent, Jerry Hicks, are hoping to meet with Knicks management to discuss Thomas' future with the team. Tonight's opponent, Golden State, has been a rumored destination for Thomas in a Nick Van Exel deal. Thomas' hometown Mavericks are another possibility. He's already said he will opt out of his contract this summer and test the free-agent waters.

Who on our team move their feet on defense, rebound, hit the mid range jumper and don't telegraph their passes? KT is good. I understand his benching and also him being traded but he is a good knick player and management will hang him out to dry.

KT can't hit a big shot period. Dice can be a big game player. KT never will. I didn't want to trade him incase Dice got hurt but now that he's whining like a little bitch we can trade him and get a pretty decent player. Then maybe Sweetney and Lampe can get some burn.

I can show up at my job at 6am and work until 9pm everynight. If I'm not getting my job done I'm out of there.

The more Kurt has done for this team the more losses we accumulate. At some point you need to make wholesale changes and that includes Kurt. He's NOT an impact player, and while his stats are ok they dont affect games. I think he led the KNicks in rebounding the last 2 years because somebody had too.

So long as the Knicks and Kurt think he's a frontline impact player and a core part of this roster they will continue to wonder why they lose close games every night

I was reffering to the combination of hitting mid-range jumpers, moving their feet on defense, playing hard and rebounding really well. If u are going to throw McDyess at me then thats the best player and KT is the second best.

Management is hanging him out to dry!

I like DEKE - but he's not in there because he moves his feet. If he could still move his feet well - he'd still be defensive player of the year. DEKE is long - but his main liability on defense is slow feet.

Why does KT have to be a superstar to contribute. There are only a few players in the league who on there own can bring a team to another level. KT contributes and HELPS win some games - the Knicks would have been even worse the last few years without him.

As fans we see KT all the time and know all his faults. The guys who don't play or play for other teams - we think are better then they are because we don't see them all the time. KT is not great but he is good. If we trade him we need to get something of VALUE.

he should just accept his new role, he could be great at it. Like he used to be when he backed up camby and Ewing, but no he thinks he's tim duncan

KT is a good player. He is averaging about a double-double and has high trade value. He already said that he's gonna be out after the season so IF the Knicks can get someone back who'd help address some of the skill areas we are lacking now, it would be a worthwhile move. He can be packaged with one of the other players that would be hard to deal otherwise (Eisley, KVH, Spoon) in exchange for a good ballhandling, good passing, defensively sound player.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I would argue that KT is whining on purpose to get traded, knowing how much Layden and Dolan won't tolerate dissention. He wants to be a starter. I got news for you Crazy Eyes Killa, the only reason they kept you around this long was to hold McDyess' spot. Kurt Thomas would be a solid backup or okay starter (if you have a couple franchise players in the group) but no one buys tickets to see Kurt Thomas play.

Of course, if McDyess is just window dressing on a crappy team, no one will pay to see him either, but the idea is that McD is the star, Kurt is a hard-working, "little things" player who doesn't have big numbers, just consistent ones. I think Kurt is more surprised that Deke is starting over him at C than McD getting the PF spot.

In any case, this team, as is, won't have too many more chances to turn this around. They need some speed and scoring. Maybe KT can snag the Knicks the right player. Harrington sure as hell hasn't.

Read the item about Knicks trying to get Ricky Davis? What did they offer for him? Othella? Ward? Doleac? Sweets?

No one wants the Knicks players. They are the most unwanted bunch in the league. We're stuck with almost all of these guys until end of 2006-2007 season.

When is Dolan going to get out of messing up professional sports teams the way he messed up The Wiz and Cablevision?

I don't think I'm sorry we didn't get Ricky Davis. Most of the folks in Boston (Fans and Management) hate the trade. Ainge according to local media (Yes I'm in Ma.) and ESPN pulled the trigger in spite of a lot of people in the organization not liking it.

It's also interesting to note that Ainge has blown up the Celtics - a team that no-one believes was good enough to win it all - and is being criticized for sacrificing today for tomorrow. Sort of the opposite of what everyone is complaining about here. I think as a GM if you're team ain't in contention - you're in a no win situation.

I'm not a Ricky Davis fan, that's for sure, but he is a dynamic scorer. It's just funny to think of what Layden offers other teams for their better players.

Orlando GM John Gabriel picks up the phone.

JG: Hello?
SL: John, hi, this is Scott. Scott Layden.
JG: Hi, Scott.
SL: Tough break for you guys, all the losing.
JG: Uh-huh. I could say the same for--
SL: If you want to unload McGrady, I could give you two really great players for him: Ward and Harrington.
JG: Well, sure, Ward and Harnigndgfinindg (craps himself) What?! Oh ... ha ha, I get it. Scott, you crazy. You had me goin' there for a second.
SL: No, really, I--
JG: That was funny, Scott. You got me. See you on the unemployment line in June.(click)
SL: But really I want to deal, John. John? John?

Haha.. you guys are funny, but anyway, I said this before, no matter how much Kt improves his numbers the knicks won't be any better until he improves his game, KT and ward at their best are not going to win any more games for the knicks. right now this whole thing is a mess, but this is what happens when you put together a mix match team.
