I know a number on here work out. What do you do about bone spurs - in the heel of your foot.

I have just plain worked through it. I start out limping every morning but once warmed up it's fine - maybe after five or ten minutes. But then when you're done and you rest it's right back killing you the next time you go to stand up.

I've done the "tennis ball" therapy on my own and recently I had one hurt so bad I said "F IT" and pushed down as hard as I could and felt a crunch.. and had no pain for days after...and then it started again.

Been told they just grow back. I believe this.

So what the hell? I'm not doing the surgery which I was told "well, it might grow back" anyway.

Anyone else deal with this? Got any ideas that don't include slicing my foot open, being laid up for 8 weeks, only to have the same problem anyway?

Damn....I thought a number of you guys worked out? Gave it up? Oh well. Just looking for ideas beyond having my foot hacked open with zero promise the problem wouldn't return.

Never had them, but I have been told that by increasing your calcium intake (through supplements I suppose?) you will be able to slowly break down the bone spurs and eventually get rid of them. Just a theory for you to look into.
