you buy the land plots first for each corresponding type of real estate u wanna build then build on the plots... start out w/a few rent houses & italian restaurants & build up from there... make sure to recruit other mafia members & build a Mafia Mike's lounge at each opportunity when u start out cuz those net u the biggest profits in the beginning... remember each piece of real estate u buy raises the price for the next piece of same type of real estate u buy in the future, so buying them in bunches of a few at a time is best to get the most of ur money.

u can also make some good money by robbing other mafia bosses, but that comes later in the game when u level up a little more.

basically form a strategy for urself... do u wanna level up as quickly as possible, or do u wanna build up ur fight win & loss reputation & stats as quickly as possible & amass more mafia kills? that will determine what u do with ur level up points as u get them in this game... i went for an all around balanced approach & levelled up my attack, defense, energy, stamina & health totals from the start... u might choose a different strategy.

on the home page u'll see a tab for properties in between fight & inventory tabs... the robbing option tab shows up when u click on the fight tab, & u can buy & sell properties on the properties tab, but i never really sell anything i buy in this game.

also remember to use ur Godfather Gift points wisely, cuz those are hard to come by in this game & there are some nice little goodies that u can purchase using them later on in the game.

& also, u can get by w/neglecting health & stamina for now but u will definitely need to level up for later on in the game to survive fights w/higher level mobsters as well as to get past the bosses in the early stages.

if it says business you're in Cuba dude... u need to fly back to NY then you'll see it.

that doesn't have anything to do with it, my other Fearless mafia members own properties... that's only for when ur mafia members promote u to different positions in your top Mafia... i would look into the help faq to find out the problem, or try contacting support... the NY stage shouldn't have any "businesses" tab on it, that's only for Cuba.
