http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/knicks/2009/09/lebron-keeps-singing-the-same.html#ixzz0QhBqw9YYI love it. Lebron is a bigger than basketball persona. The only places suitable for him are NY or the Lakers.
People that think Lebron cant make more money here and get more exposure are kidding themselves. Cleveland's metro area is like 2 million people. The NY metro area is 19 million. Every kid in the NY/NJ/Conn area will be wearing Lebron Knick jerseys. Dude will have his own cable channel. He will easier reach international markets with his brand. Remember he wants to be the first billionaire athlete. Get a grip... in a lot of ways Lebron needs NY more than the Knicks need Lebron (if such a thing is possible) "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

Posted by fishmike: how can Lebron be the lead story when Isola broke this story: The other big news is that Stephon Marbury has announced his retirement. After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

why do you feel sick for cleveland fans? i couldn't care less.
briggs, it seems like you are finally connecting the "logic" dots. why hasn't lebron signed an extension? why did lebron say his loyalty is to akron and not cleveland? why did he show up wearing knicks colors? etc etc etc. lebron stated his career goal a few years ago as to be a global icon and to be the first sports billionaire. there is no better place to become both a global icon and billionaire than new york. it is the capital of capitalism. he will be seen as a savior. he will play at MSG inarguably the best arena/home setting in the league. #Knickstaps

It's about a done deal because of the color of sweater Lebron is wearing? Doesn't get any better than that.

Posted by Andrew: It might sound trivial--and Im certainly not the dresser LBJ is--but who the heck would wear that sweater on National TV? Not Lebron but he did. RIP Crushalot😞

Wow. I am not one to read into those things but the basketball gods looks like they are sending Lebron our way.
Also, that is one ugly sweater. |

Posted by BRIGGS:Posted by Andrew: So you went from "LeBron is never, ever coming and we are all fools for even thinking about it" to "there's a very small chance" to "he's definitely coming now" in a span of a week. Good job. Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Posted by BRIGGS:why feel bad? really? this is sports man. Give me a break. At least Cle got Lebron for 7 years. Orl only got Shaq for 4. Being about the money is a positive. He's a driven freak, just like MJ. MJ was the diggest endorsment whore ever, along with his $25-$30mm a year NBA salary. The fact that people poo poo the endorsment thing cracks me up. I was ho hum on it myself but the #s dont lie. Cle = 2mil in the metro area. Ny = 20mil. Plus huge exposure to the international markets. It does make a difference and LBJ wants to be the first sport's billionaire. He needs to make about $100mm a year for the next 10. NY is a better place to start than CLE, but what do I know. I didnt even see his sweater "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

Posted by Andrew: Papabear Says He sure looked pretty like Mohamed Ali in that blue sweater, and that wasn't by accident. Man if he comes to New York , New York won't be the same. And if they don't win a championship with Shaq he owes Clevland nothing. He has to feed his kids. Papabear
