Not many off season acquisitions.

I keep trying to take a stab at the rotation and can't figure it out.

Is Larry Hughes still on the team?
What about hill and Douglas.
Jeffries and eddy in top 9?

It's hard to have any thoughts on this because MDA is so wacky with his line ups. Look for Gallo to run point a few times this season.

Wow. Harrington off the bench to start or this best 5 start out the gate?

Imagine curry is startable?

I'm holding out hope Hughes is getting his mind and game and bounces with jeffries.

dude, there are plenty of starting PGs that are much smaller or same size as Douglas. Off the top of my head: Fisher, Rondo, TJ Ford, Aaron Brooks, Felton. What's your point?

DOUGLAS IS 6-2 IN SHOES!!! I don't know why the media keeps prrinting that he's only 6-1. He's exactly 6-1 without shoes, but since he won't be running the court barefoot, he's 6-2! That's good size for the point. Not to mention that he's strong and has a 6-6 wingspan. His arms are longer than Steph Curry (6-3.5) who is an inch and a half taller than Douglas.

putting douglas next to duhon in the starting lineup is similar to when they put that little freckled southern white kid next to arnold on diff'rent strokes.

Training camp should be good...I would love to be there to watch...I just hop that D'antoni plays the people that deserve to play.

Larry Hughes seems to be an after thought...I hope he isn't given the Stephon Marbury treatment...He's still a good player. The minutes will be scarce but why can't he get a spot in the rotation?

Front court rotation:
Lee, Darko, Al Harrington, Gallo, Curry

Backcourt rotation:
Duhon, Chandler, Nate, Hughes

OMG if that crew can come into camp focused and ready to play 82 games...and D'antoni/Walsh don't bench guys cuz "they aren't in the plan"....this team should be able to compete for the playoffs.

Wow Toney douglas an NBA starter when he couldnt hit the backboard from 5 feet and looked very very small at the rim. Maybe a starter in the D league--not the nBA


Curry as a starter? It's possible but the last time I saw him he had better chances starting in a remake of Charlotte's Web as Wilbur

he played 30 times better that Thabeet. If Memphis wanted a tall guy with YMCA skills they should have saved that #2 pick and just looked up Slavko Vranes... because 5 summer league games should hold more water than say 3 or 4 years of college basketball.

Douglas is a physical player with long arms and is very strong. Go look at his combine results or the 100 videos of him. Douglas will keep guys in front of him. MDA wants long jumpers and no fouls. Thats what he pushes for. Douglas isnt Nate Robinson. I am always baffled by the drama that 2 inches in the NBA causes. IF Douglas was 6'4 instead of 6'2 who would care? He can defend and score. He's going to get time on this team.

MDA thinks out of the box. He started a 3 SFs and won 55 games in the West. Either you can play or you cant

I am also a big Toney Douglas fan. He surprised people in SL - that he could play point. Got double figures in assists. He will surprise people this season.

But he is not starting at the 2. He will back-up at PG. Probably get minimal time the first 20 games and work his way into the regular 9 man rotation.
