Iverson To Decide On Grizzlies' Offer By Friday

Allen Iverson is expected to give the Grizzlies an answer on whether he'll accept their one-year offer on Friday, sources told the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, told the Grizzlies earlier this week that a decision would come before the weekend.

The free-agent guard has expressed interest in playing for both Memphis and Charlotte on his Twitter page recently.

Memphis can pay Iverson $3.5 million, or as much as $4.4 million if they renounce their rights to Spanish guard Juan Carlos Navarro.

"We'll see," Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace told the Commercial Appeal, adding that there is a "50-50" shot that the club will sign Iverson.

"It's a holding pattern. He's in new territory. He's never been a free agent. He's never been a free agent this late in the offseason. I'm sure he's trying to turn over as many scenarios as he can until he has to commit."

I agree Supreme. Besides, I would rather have CPE and Melo in 2011 then just Lebron in 2010.

i've been saying for a while that Iverson on a one year deal would be great for ny and for iverson.
